So i studied these movies and analyzed the scenes in all 4 movies, and i realized that the scaling was for the most part wrong in Godzilla 2014, Kong: Skull Island, just a few scenes in Godzilla KotM and only two scenes in Godzilla Vs. Kong... But the point is that in the GvK Hong Kong scene right before Kong shoves his axe down Godzilla's throat, you can finally see Godzilla's 393 ft of height while he stands up as upright as possible, that's one of the rare occasions where he doesn't have a bad posture, because for the most part during these movies he's always crouched over like an old man with back problems, what do you think? I didn’t know whether to be relieved and happy or fearful after Tack and Telg left, leaving me with Barlim. The quilliest gojid out of our quartet was probably the second most insane gojid in our group, but at least she was nice if not a bit nervous. Tack is the most sane, and I am between those two. Meanwhile, Telg… I just hope he doesn’t find some poor human in there to pester.
“So so so? What’s first on the agenda?” Barlim asked, moving around to the front of the car. She took the position that Tack had occupied for most of our drive, and I decided to take Telg’s spot.
I reach into my utility belt and pull out the phone, scrolling back to my saved list. “Ok, so firstly, humanity's treatment of livestock. Yeah, they might not have anymore, not that I believe that. I’m still willing to bet they have some stuff. Not that I blame them after all. They’re predators…”
I scroll down to the next thing on my list. “Plans for the Federation, which can split up into their plans for various Federation species.”
I scroll one more time, hitting the third item on the list. “And plans for breeding goji.” Just as the words leave my mouth. I am reminded of the sight of that dog on the cattle ship.
I wonder what they looked like prior to humans ‘domesticating’ them.
“Let’s start with the first thing on the list then?” Barlim shot me a questioning look.
I simply nodded and continued fiddling with my phone, taking a few pauses to ensure that the phone’s screen and the larger car’s console were synced up. Once that was all setup, I began typing the first thing into the human datanet’s search bar.
It was surprisingly easy to reach the search bar. It literally said search in it, and the translator was able to pick up all the words I couldn’t read.

What came was a treasure trove of information. A white webpage with a series of blue links running down the left side of the screen. It was a mixture of government websites, news websites, encyclopedias, forums, and so much more. What caught my attention most of all was that the word cruel was used sometimes to note how humans viewed their treatment of cattle as I scrolled through this first webpage.
“I see they have cattle, but what species?” Barlim asked nervously, watching me scroll down, farther and farther.
“We’ll get to that in a second, but first. Let’s get to the first question.” I quickly scroll back to the top, clicking the news article I first saw.
It spoke about the ethical treatment of various animals; chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, horses, buffalo, and camels, and the list seemed to grow a little bit more before finally ending.
“That’s… a lot of animals.” Barlim fidgeted in her chair. “How could they just… eat them!? Those poor animals!” The quilly gojid takes a deep breath to calm herself down. “What’s stopping them from eating us?”
I take my own few seconds to mull over my thoughts. “Relax Barlim, we have time to think here. No need to panic.” Barlim wasn’t actually panicking, but her tone evoked a sense of nervousness. Voids be damned, even my paws were shaking a little.
They’re predators, damn it! You knew they ate meat. They’ve been recorded eating meat. This shouldn’t surprise you!
“My guess, there’s, or are, probably traits that separate us from their livestock.” - “What could it be?” - “We talk? We’re sapient? They’re slowly waiting for us to get comfortable before saying it was all a sham because all predators are sick and twisted?” I can’t help but cackle darkly to myself. Meanwhile, Barlim seems to sink upon hearing that.
“I hate that way of thinking. I hope it is the former two.”
“And then what about the comatose or children? Ok, yeah, I know the humans were goofing off with pups, but I just like asking theoretical questions.” I pause for a moment. “Ok, I really can’t see them eating pups. They’ve given aid to our weak instead of culling them… Yeah, I can’t really see them eating us, and this list just didn’t change my thoughts.”
I scroll down a little bit farther, reading past lots of word salads and a few advertisements. It’s quite a bit of reading, but after condensing it down. I learned that humans had apparently passed a law. It would be stated that animals must not be locked away permanently within a building (with some caveats), animals must have access to clean water, animals must have access to clean food, no growth hormones are to be used on animals…
“That’s a long list.” Barlim followed along as I read.
“It’s a condensed list from a law… Let’s look at the government link at the bottom. It comes from the FDA or the Food and Drug Administration.”
I click the link.

“How many pages is this document!?”
After Barlim’s exclamation, I just started scrolling, scrolling, scrolling faster, and more scrolling. “A couple hundred… nine-hundred-sixty-two pages…” - “Sprak…” - “Also, why is this legal document talking about public transportation, public security, drugs… Oh! This document contains a bunch of different things!” - “HOW THE SPRAK IS A SANE BEING SUPPOSED TO READ THIS!? THIS IS UTTERLY ABSURD! DOES EVERY SINGLE HUMAN SIT DOWN AND READ THIS DOCUMENT!? WHAT SORT OF COMPLACENT RHOT SHIT IS THIS!?”
I try to ignore the country bumpkin’s slew of following curses, accusations of governmental corruption, lazy populous, and so on. Oh yeah, this sounded like stuff the Gojya always complained about when they talked about the Federation.
Now’s not the time for conspiracies, Barlim.
“Are you done ranting?” My question stops Barlim mid-rant. Her voice had been loud enough to give me a minor headache.
“Sorry.”
I ignore the meek apology, giving it a mere ear flick of acknowledgment in return. My eyes resumed the reading of the document. It takes me a measly ten minutes to get to the correct page, which is more along the lines of twenty pages and read it all.
“So long story short; no small cages, must have sunlight, open fields, clean food, clean water, do not abuse, and medical care. All in all, they treat them well, but not as well as us, so… I guess humans do have empathy for their food.”
“So… is that good?”
“Actually, I’d argue yes, for it shows that humans don’t view us as equal to their livestock. In fact, they see us as worth more than livestock! Adding even more doubt they’ll eat us.” I chitter and give my head a shake.
I go back to the search bar, typing up the next thing on the list.

Thoughts on the Federation?

Just like the last time I hit search, hundreds upon hundreds of little web article links showed up; forums, news articles, government websites, and so forth.
“Now, a government, news, or forum website?” - “I think I like the idea of listening to what the people say. Though, we should also see what their authoritarian government is doing too.” Barlim added.
Instead of doing any of that, I click the news tab just below the search bar and look up Venlil Contact.

We end up skipping the news article, figuring we’d just take them for their word, and move on to the next part of the agenda.
Barlim leans forward, pressing a few buttons, and stopping at one of the forums. She clicked on one with an orange circle with a human-esque-looking splotch in the middle of it, but with a stick growing out the top.

Thoughts on Federation?

What comes forth after is a slew of extremely contradictory opinions, and we spend forever just reading them.

Barlim and I slow down in our reading, shifting uncomfortably in our seats. There were still more comments to read, hundreds; happy, angry, afraid, and so forth. A wide range of emotions to passively absorb through text.

I remember being so afraid upon learning that humans still existed, and then angry about hearing the death of my kin. I…” Barlim briefly choked on a sob, rubbing at her eyes as she relived old memories. “I think I understand where they're coming from.”
I lean over, brushing my paw over her ears. “Want to take a small break?”
Barlim nods in silence, shrinking up by wrapping her paws around her knees.
I give the girl a moment to take a breather.
So humans still have livestock they eat, which they eat before us, so… It’s safe to say I doubt they’re going to eat us. I doubt they’ll still eat us even if their livestock ran out.
They also seem to have mixed feelings. There were a few threats to bomb Gojid refugee centers. Meanwhile, others wanted to offer aid. The reactions seemed to be somewhat mixed, but the highest upvoted comments seemed to be positive. There were some exceptions in regard to complaints about dead family members.
I rub the underside of my muzzle in thought, leaning back against the seat.
“Ready,” Barlim finally manages to get out, rubbing her wet eyes.

“You know, I hope this just deals with their enjoyment of cute things, and to prevent us from becoming pets. They opt to just post all their thoughts on the internet?”
The other gojid fiddled with her paws in thought. “You know, if humans happily want to brush my tangled quills. I’d let them. I hate it.” A small chuckle comes after. “Humans, fur and quill groomers of the galaxy!” She takes a deep breath, letting it out in one long sigh. Her tone becoming somber. “I can already see old man Torgel complaining about the humans coming for his job...”
I turn away from Barlim, looking back at the console. To my surprise, none of the websites are governmental, news, or blogs, but a forum and an image board. What was more baffling was the fact that the first thing on the list was a website of one letter, followed by three different numbers.

Now, what Barlim was referring to, and what I was finding my mouth slowly becoming more and more agape in sheer astonishment, confusion, and horror, was what was going on in the aforementioned images.
The images were artistic renditions of humans and gojid performing unsavory acts. They were debauched in their very nature: Utterly salaciously scandalous in their composition! Humiliating! What didn’t help was how some artistic paintings seemed breathtakingly realistic and just next to it would be cartoonish variants of it!
Oh, and by Kay-ut it wasn’t just male humans on female gojid, but male humans on male gojid, male gojid on female humans, and even a pair of females!
That wasn’t the only thing! It was an entire page worth of images, four per row and nearly fifteen down! Unlike Barlim, who covered her eyes at the obscenities, I bravely, while doing my best to avert my gaze, scrolled down to the bottom.

My eyes briefly come across one of the images. However, much to my surprise as I find my curiosity eating away at me, the human was*, but wasn’t* the dominant one in the image.
I end up clicking it out of that need to understand what I am seeing. That dangerous desire to know more attacking me.
A pale fleshed human female, skin slick with sweat and long brown strands of hair matted down against her face and forehead, her face pointing directly at the camera with her eyes partially glazed over. Her petite teeth, for a predator, were sunk into a white pillow, biting down on it. A horrifying display if I didn't see the rest of the context.

So a few days ago Goji Center uploaded a video about the new Kong villain from Godzilla x Kong The New Empire, and how this new villain might possibly use Mind Games to mess with both Godzilla and kong.

11. The predicted future collapse, the 8 Nations' Legacy and the Poneglyphs' Roles

Witnessing this incident, the sky divinities knew thanks to one of their kind blessed with divination abilities (Saturn/Buhdda//Former great kingdom ruler) (before Imu's true personality took possession of the body) (see Parts 2) that this means the end of the great kingdom era. Their enemies will soon take advantage of the following centuries to seize the power of this ancient kingdom and bring it to its collapse, to take over the world thanks to the fallen devil fruits and immortality nectar by controlling and enslaving the Mother Earth of the world with Imu's new body and inherited powers.
Knowing this, before its disappearance, the inhabitants of this great kingdom will try to save their history to transmit it to future generations so that one day the good things of this kingdom will be restored. Hence the creation of indestructible hidden Poneglyphs whose role will be to spread that forbidden history and spiritual wisdom. This idea is carved in the Poneglyphs themself as a reminder, as Robin stated: "Keep thy motives in heart, with closed mouth. We are those who will weave history with the ringing of the great belfry". Because Just like how Shandorians protected their own Poneglyph 400 years ago, their descendant the Shandians kept fulfilling this promise until this knowledge, this treasure map to the restoration of the One Piece is finally recovered.
That story is heavily inspired by the Legends surrounding the Mu continent (a mythical lost continent motherland of men)) theorized by Churchward, James in his fiction book (1926) and its Japanese reinterpretation within the anime plot of The Mysterious Cities of Gold (Taiyō no Ko Esuteban) (1980). A French/Japanese animated series that probably fed the imagination of E. Oda some years before he started writing his manga. In conjunction with Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water (Fushigi no Umi no Nadia) (1990) about the lost continent of Atlantis. As well as Jule Verne's work (Journey to the Center of the Earth, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, The Mysterious Island, From the Earth to the Moon, Michel Strogoff, A Floating City, The Golden Volcano, The Lighthouse at the End of the World,...) which Oda is probably a fan given his apparent liking for the subterranean fiction genre and the Steampunk genre.
Indeed this Mu continent appears to be the great kingdom equivalent depicted in the manga in many ways:
Without going into the details, the MU continent would have been born from a tectonic and volcanic uprising (see part 3.3.C about the creation of the red Pangea) and would have propagated its technological advances and its knowledge throughout the world. This would have allowed the spread and construction of majestic monuments all over the world as remnants of its legacy with direct parallels found in One Piece such as:

• The cities of Gold of South America (like Eldorado or Cibola):

• The vertical architecture of Teōtihuácān:

The comparison does not end there, because continuing the legend, it is said that thanks to his predictions and his power of divination, the Emperor of Mu knew for a long time what would happen. In the End, each kingdom hiding a Poneglyph could be the descendant of Allies of the D. scattered all around the Grandline that tried to restore the truth and show Joyboy the way to find the 4 Ancient weapons the world needs to restore the One Piece ecosystem.

12. The World Government take-over, Imu's true powers, and the disappearance of the great kingdom

After Zunesha's incident, the allies who were very affected by the climatic consequences gradually developed resentment against the great kingdom and began to develop a plan to emancipate themselves from its powedominion which they considered too dangerous.
By selfishness, revenge or survival instinct, the servant (horse/deer) race of this Great kingdom now known as the World Noble, following their meeting in Roguetown, sized the opportunity to join forces and made a pact with a devilish moon-related queen and some humans families leader to overthrow the dominant races called Lunarias and the Ancient Giants to establish themselves in the skies (the 20 founding families), above Red Line, where the climatic conditions will be more clement, extending their original home in the underground to the surface of Grandline with the help of their human allies.
To achieve this, they used the power of the devil fruits that had recently arrived on earth with the fall of the giant Adam tree by taking over the body and powers of the former ruler of the great kingdom. thanks to the Ope Ope no Mi they transferred the personality of this Devil Queen into Saturn's former leader body and made the receiver body immortal to make use of these powers for as long as possible.
This gave to the Devilish moon leader of the undergrounds some powers not obtainable with standard Devil fruits because Saturn's body like the other 3 Ancient Weapons in addition to its power of divination, had the "Voice of all things" and the ability to control the solar Magnetohydrodynamic generator of the earth (the Mother Earth creature) that could displace the continents with its inner electromagnetic field (see part 3.3.B + 3.3.C +3.3.D). This gave Imu the power to activate a Straw-hat safety button inside its Pangea castle to reshape the world as she sees fit to get a hold of the trues treasure of this kingdom for herself and her allies and to isolate themake the world easier to control through a unique with the Grandline.
This explains why Imu's supremacy may reside in the power inherited from its stolen body as another Ancient Weapon capable of controlling the world itself and why she was coined the National Treasure of Mary Geoise by Doflamingo.
As a result, 200 years after Zunesha's crime (=800 years ago), the 20 allies created the Red Line and the World Government and began a campaign of demonization and cover-up to erase all traces of the great kingdom. This was the beginning of the Void century during which the Red Line was used to bury the remains of this great kingdom (inspired by the scenery drawn in the Codex Zouche-Nuttall i.e Part 3.1/3.2 and the myth of Agartha i.e part 3.3.C), to separate Uranus from Mother Earth and the other ancient weapons but also to move the ancient wealth of this kingdom to where these 20 families had settled (Mary Geoise). Like the devil fruit tree/tree of life (Cradle of life/Womb of the Earth) moved below the Pangea castle to have control over the reincarnation process, the production of devil fruits/immortality nectar. In addition to the numerous sources of gold, machines, and weapons created by the great kingdom and now owned by the world government.
All of this weaponry and brute strength, plus the divination powers of its leader, will allow the Government to ensure its domination on the world by silencing all dissent for the next 800 years and become the sole beneficiary of the devil's fruits/immortality nectar exploitation until the plan initiated by the great kingdom before its demise and involving Joyboy's prophecy is realized.

13. Luffy's Dream and the Business of Reincarnations

This plan would involve the reanimation of the earth mating process (see part 3.3.F) and the end of the transmigration of souls (see part 3.2 & 3.3.G) (Samsara vs Nirvana in Buddhism), which I speculate to be related to Luffy's dream as the personification of the Hindu deity Nataraja (see Part 1). One part of Luffy's dream would be to make everyone immortal (moksha) because before their death each people would join an abundant earthly paradise to enjoy a happy and peaceful existence where everyone would eat their fill / eat as much as they want to during a giant Banquet of food (Feast of the God)) with anti-aging properties as inspired by the eternal war in Hinduism between the devas and the asuras who fight for the possession of a divine elixir called Amrita/Ambrosia that grants immortality.

Crazy idea: Amrita is also the name of Avatar 2 Tulkum's brain goo that stops human aging. I mean One Piece and Avatar hold so many parallels it's crazy, I bet E.Oda loves this franchise...just wanted to throw this idea somewhere. I can well imagine the spermaceti of a giant Sperm Whale Mother Earth becoming a key to rejuvenation in Oda's mind as a satire of the Japanese slaughtering whale hunting tradition.

Indeed, Luffy said himself that he waited for so long to reach Paradise so that he could reach enlightenment and be done with its endless reincarnation cycle since logic-wise at 17 years old, Luffy in his current life did not wait too long yet to feel so relieved to finally reach the Paradise unless it is not his first turn (previous Joyboy reincarnation) on the wheel of life.
Moreover, the reactions of each of the Mugiwaras would have a certain logic to his dream:

• Chopper, who is a doctor who fights death in his profession, thinks this idea of immortality is amazing.
• Franky, the transhumanist cyborg who seeks to counteract the effects of his mortality with technology, seems to be delighted by this idea of immortality.
• Nami thinks that this idea sounds like Luffy, a generous and protective figure who has overcome death itself several times.
• Sanji, who has witnessed the Cartesianism of science and its limits with his mad scientist father, finds this idea simply insane.
• Brook who has already enjoyed a form of immortality thanks to his devil fruit finds it hilarious and seems to accept this dream idea more easily than the rest of the crew who seem more dubious about it.
• Like Zoro, with powers linked to the underworld, death, and the inferno has trouble understanding the concept of this life after death.
• or like Usopp whose, rationality and logic prevent him from accepting this reincarnation concept.
• Robin-swan, who is still a tomb, seems to have a revelation at the time of the announcement as she probably already has it all figured out and doesn't seem as dubious as Usopp about Luffy's dream. She seeks out of curiosity or amazement to learn more about the reactions of Sabo and Shanks whose reactions are also clues.
• As seen in Part 1, Sabo+Ace are personifications of "Huītzilōpōchtli" the God of fire and sacrifice and therefore find this idea of immortality rather pointless which makes them laugh. Whereas Shanks as the personification of the God "Xipe-Totec" of agriculture and rebirth or Dionysus the God of Banquet and celebration finds this idea to be the simple reflection of the natural state of the world, which makes him joyful to hear it to the point of tears.

To go along with Luffy's dream, the Celestial dragons seem to appear much older than they actually are (Sharia=17 y.o, Rosward=55 y.o, Charlos=24 y.o, yet the physical difference between Rowward the father and his children Chalria & Charlos seems low as they all seem to be about the same age). Secondly, WG leaders are called the Five Elders and seem to be shocked to learn about the awakening of an 800-year-old devil fruits legend even for them, that is to say for people as erudite and as old as they are, blessed with such a long life. So World Nobles on Mary Geoise seem to benefit from either a long life expectancy or some form of immortality. My guess is that they use Mother Earth's body to capture/stole its divine energy/lineage that makes them immortal or benefit from special food with anti-aging properties which grow in the womb-like garden underneath Mary Geoise. Thus the Five Elders + WG act as the guardians of this access to immortality by forcing an unnatural state of the earth in which dead souls are forced to enter a cycle of endless reincarnations through devil fruits' will/desire transmigration. This state allows the WG to capitalize on their accumulated knowledge while preventing other beings to lives sufficiently long enough to learn about the truth of this world. This explains the crucial role of Ohara's library and the Poneglyphs to share and store this accumulated knowledge for future reincarnated generations and explains why Ohara was such a threat to the WG and the reason why it was wiped out. Additionally, this idea of a business of reincarnation is strengthened by the fact that the WG territories perfectly match the Greek underworld (see part 3.2), and the Gorosei + Imu act as the Judges of the underworld and the Moirai that preside over the destinies of humans. Knowing that death is an eternal do-over, this could explain why the Celestial Dragons attach so little importance to the lives of their fellow citizens and see the murders of their slaves as a blessing rather than as unethical decisions.

For the first time since sitting down, even Maeve had their head turned towards me. “It’s alright Tarlim,” her voice was hesitant, “We are here with you. You’re not alone. ”
“C’mon buddy, you got this.” Jacob kept close to me. His hand brushing down my wool.
“Th-thank you” I gasped. “Valek…” I perked my ears towards him to signal attention, “you… you are the first to say that. To really say that, and to mean it, too.”
Valek waved his tail, and closed his eyes in a deep showing of trust and kindness.
“It has been years since my lawsuit.” I swallowed some mucus. “In that time, I can count the people who supported me on one paw. One paw!” I held up my four fingers for emphasis. “They helped me get on my feet. Let me release my feelings. And just… they were there for me. They gave sympathy, but you…” I panted, trying to control my breathing. “You didn’t. You called me dangerous. Feared me. You were… you were them.” I swept my arms out at the lower floor of people eating their meals. “In all those years, all that time, nobody, not one, had ever apologized. Not sincerely.”
He met my ears with his, and flicked his tail in good humor, “You’re a good person Tarlim. I know I won’t be the last.”

A short silence fell over us all, before Maeve spoke up, “Not to give conversational whiplash, but absolutely to change the subject: What do you think about Venlil Cuisine, Jacob? I am quite partial to the Juicefruit, even if I need a small towel for every bite.”
“Good subject change,” he told a drink of his soda and set it on the table. “There’s this thing that translates to Firefruit, and it’s amazing! Got this nice zest like a lime but a sweet spice like a jalapeño! It’s juice goes great on a lot of things!”
“Oh then you may like this,” she shifted a plate of fried veg across the table, “This one is fried Deeproot. It’s got quite a ginger kick to it, but the fry brings out a lot of sweet too!”
I perk my ears, also eager for a distraction. Something civil to talk about for once. “Deeproot? That’s rather tasty.” I uncurled my tail. Come on. A civil distraction. “Have you… have you been on the planet long?”
“Feels like a new life… but my calendar says just over two weeks! A lot has changed since I walked on the station.” Maeve’s voice trailed off, while Valek’s tail flicked comfort, while he and Alvi retook their seats.
I deliberately pointed my ears to Maeve to signal interest. “So what do you think of our planet?” I gave my tail a nervous flick. “Apart from the… poor welcoming.”
Maeve waved her hand; if it were a tail I would call it dismissive, “Oh those poor pups were just doing as nature intended; honestly it just made your planet more familiar! Really that’s the surprising thing, despite twenty lightyears across the galaxy, everything is still so familiar! You have trees that remind me of the Redwoods, you have cities that are just like ours, if shinier, and Alvi here worked in customer service!” She ruffled her crown affectionately. “I never imagined I would feel so at home on another world!”
I heard a contented sigh come from under her veil. “How about you, Jacob? How are you handling the planet?”
Jacob finished another drink of his soda. “Ah would say that outside of the station incident, it has been going well. After we’re done here, ah am going to be getting my own apartment to live in since Tarlim’s isn’t big enough!” He snorted in amusement. “Don worry about me living in an apartment. Ah have mah ways of winning people over.” He picked up the last of his fried dough. “Relatedly, be careful with Venlil drinks. Their ‘lite beer’ is our equivalent to distilled whiskey.”
“Glad to see they know how to party! It’s an equal trade though, what they call an ‘energy drink’ is on par with weak tea. I was so glad my handler got me a 10lb bag of beans and a french press.”
“Lite beer? What do you guys consider strong?” Alvi asked, almost with worry.
“Tarlim called it distilled Ipsom,” Jacob responded. “60% alcohol. That’s pretty strong fer most humans. Our whiskey is usually 40-50%. What about y’all? What do you call strong?”
Alvi perked up, she seemed to have good memories of home, “I used to hang out at The Roost when I was in the capital, and they kept a bottle of 90% behind the counter for Venlil only: distilled and fermented Goji juice, aged in Nishtalian hardwood casks. It was really good, but I’ve had stronger.”
Jacob leaned back, his shoulders tense with surprise. “Jeezus! And this is just drinkable Ethanol, right? Not Methanol?”
Her ears drew back behind her, “Ew, no, I hate the taste it leaves on your tongue. And after what happened at my 16th, I’m not touching that stuff any time soon.”
“Yeah,” I added, “I hear the Zurulians experiment with drinking that stuff specifically, but it seems to be just them. Even they don’t usually drink at our level.”
“That’s incredible!” Maeve chimed in, “That stuff makes us go blind. Doesn’t stop people from homebrewing it anyway though.”
I gave an amused beep. Drinking something that causes blindness on purpose. “You guys are crazy. Why would you do something that would cause you to be disabled?”
“I never said we were smart!” She laughed along with Jacob. “Seriously though, it's complicated. The insultingly short version is: humans experimented with alcohol for literally our entire history, some post industrial nits thought it was evil and banned it, so people made their own. Bootlegging Moonshine became its own culture, even the not so smart parts, so methanol based drinks are still around.”
“But seriously though, to turn blind.” I shook my head. “Why do something that would cause them to be cast out?”
“Cast out??” Jacob and Maeve asked as one, in similar tones of alarm. I flinched back at the sense of insult that radiated from them. I did a dumb.
“Why,” Jacob asked, “would you think we would cast someone out?”
“B-because” I stuttered, my ears falling flat, “that’s what… we… oh Speh!” I buried my eyes in my paws. “Why did I think that? It isn’t true- of course it isn’t! The exterminators said it! Gods!”
“Yeah,” Jacob said, “that ain’t what we do. We try to help them live as normal a life as possible.”
“Yeah,” Maeve agreed. “We teach them how to use guiding sticks, give correctional implants, or help them learn braille!”
“Braille?” Valek asked for me. “What’s that? The translator didn’t quite get it.”
“It’s a kind of writing.” Maeve explained, “Little bumps whose patterns translate to a letter. A blind person can pass their fingers over the bumps to feel the pattern and thus read through their hands.”
“Don’t y’all have something similar?” Jacob asked, “you told me once that the Xeno-what’s it hospital.” He twirled his hand dismissively, “you said it had classes. Don’t they teach stuff like that there?”
“Those…” I hesitated, “those classes are for families. Teaching them how to care for their herd member. Not for… us.”
Jacob shook his head. “Okay? Ah mean, that’s fine fer families, but what about someone without one? Or if they go somewhere the rest of their herd doesn’t?”
"It depends on the family," Alvi added her voice, "some will go without to stay with the weak, but some will just…" Her ears fell, "leave them. And for those that don't have… don't have a herd they…"
I lower my ears against my head. “Sleep on the streets.”
“Bullshit!” Jacob slammed his hand against his table. “I’m not gonna lie and say we humans don’t have homeless, but no support if they don’t have a family or herd? None? What about shelters? Food banks? Those… those bunkers everybody evacuated to in panic!”
“We have food banks!” Valek protested. “We don’t let people just starve! If people are tight on money, they are completely free to visit one of the social centers or food banks! They have services there to match you with a herd, and sometimes they give community service. It's considered pre-disease treatment.” He met my eye, and continued with sadness, "sometimes people fall through the cracks. And sometimes, as I just learned… they are dropped through."
"Oh my god…" Maeve sighed, her face pointed at nothing.
“Hold it. Pre-disease?” Jacob’s voice dripped with skepticism. “So you're saying that someone visiting one of those places would be saying they have your Predator Disease?”
"Not necessarily. It is more supposed to prevent herdless behavior. I've never been in the system, though, so I don't know what it looks like inside." Valek continued.
“It’s a big room,” I interrupt. “A bunch of bunk beds crammed together in the center with Exterminators watching over at all hours as you eat, sleep, and… everything else. Watching for the slightest excuse to cry Predator Disease.” I huffed. “When I was in the facility, there were five inmates who tried to stick around me despite what the faculty said.” I looked at Valek. “Three of them were snatched in one of those places. There’s a reason I slept in the streets.”
“But… but they wouldn’t…” Valek’s expression fell under my sad gaze. "Who am I kidding. I want so badly to believe we aren't like that, but…" and he waved his paw at the pad still on the table.
"It's ok, Valek, this is actually familiar to us." Maeve's voice cooed in an effort to calm him, "We haven't solved those problems ourselves, but we have made huge strides. Hopefully, more opportunities and less facilities may give them a fighting chance."
“Here’s hoping,” Jacob agreed.
I wagged my tail. “And as little as it may be, there is now at least one city with no Facility at all.”
“By the way,” Jacob said, “bit of a subject change, but Maeve. Are you going to eat any of your food?” He gestured to her plate. “You haven’t even touched that since we arrived.”
"Its quite a pain to eat through this. I'd already had enough before you guys got here, I'll be fine." Maeve nodded, in the way Jacob would when thanking someone.
Jacob shook his head. “Ah don’t buy that. There’s only one plate in front of you, and it’s only been nibbled.” He leaned forward, placing his elbow on the table. “It’s the teeth thing, isn’t it?”
I raised my ears in alarm. “Are you not eating just so I don’t see your teeth?”
Maeve was quiet for a moment, "... I'm sorry I lied to you, I should have seen you're more comfortable than the average Venlil. Teeth is a part of it, yes, but I have had the most intense reaction from my eyes and hair. I'm red-headed, rather brightly I'll add."
Jacob leaned back in his chair, and chuckled, "Oh, No!"
I felt like I was missing the end of a joke, "I don't get it, what am I missing?"
"Uhh, there's no easy way to say this bud, but her hair makes it look like she's doused and speckled in Venlil blood."
I stared at them. “Ooookaaay?” I shook my head. “And why is that a problem?”
“Wait,” Alvi asked, “you aren’t bothered?”
I cocked my head. “Why should I be? It’s a fur color. I have seen pictures of Sulians with a pigment that makes them look like the color of our blood.” I picked up my soda and took a sip as everyone looked up at me. “Don’t starve yourself on my account.”
“Alright,” Valek set his arms on the table, ears pointing towards me, “how are you so calm about this? Even the braver Venlil on the station were nervous around humans that weren’t their partners. Why aren’t you?”
I gave an amused whistle. “Guys, look at me.” I gestured up my torso. “I tower over all of you. What could they do to me that a prey couldn’t? That…” I laughed ironically, “that a prey hasn’t already done?”
All four laughed along with me, Herd denial my tail, before Maeve answered, "I'm glad you can laugh about it! Well, consent given…" and she removed her veil entirely.
I watched as the fabric was removed from her head. The first thing I noticed was, admittedly, her hair going to her shoulders. It really did flow and shine like Venlil blood on her head, but it was still rather obviously hair. Still don’t know why people would freak out about that. Her skin was also much more pale than Jacob’s. Had little spots on her face, similar to someone splashing water or dye. What strange patterns skin can have. Finally, once they opened, I saw her eyes. She met mine without turning her head; it seemed the human periphery is wider than I thought. Despite their forward-facing direction, I wagged at the sight.
“You have very nice eyes,” I complimented. “The color reminds of a freshly sprouted Darkwood leaf.” I turn my ears towards Valek. “From what I understand, you two are very brave to have seen her without her mask.”
"It took time." Valek sighed as he reminisced, "we had talked by text for a couple weeks before the meetup, and our introduction in the room went smoothly. But when she took off her hair wrap, I… I could hear the sound of blood on the ground. I tried to dive under the bunk, but I missed. Woke up in the clinic with a nasty bump."
Jacob chuckled. “You certainly weren't the only one to react by freaking out.” He turned his visor towards Alvi. “What about you?”
"My first time was in the forest." Alvi started, "Maeve was… having a hard time. I caught her eyes when I was trying to talk to her and… I uhh… I fainted!" She pulled her ears in front of her face, "and the second time! We were in Valek's b-" her voice caught in her throat.
"It's ok, Alvi," then Valek finished the story, "our first rest at the farm we were all sharing a bed, Maeve's spare room wasn't finished yet. Maeve's uncovered face was the first thing Alvi saw when she woke, and she locked up. At least we took the opportunity to get used to eye contact."
"How about you two?" Maeve met my eye again before breaking contact, then looked to Jacob, "You mentioned you were from the first wave on Prime Station? I'm glad you both made it out of the attack!"
“Nah,” Jacob waved his hand, palm facing out, “Only one of us was on the station.”
“Yeah,” I agreed with a sigh, “I’m certain you can guess why it wasn’t me.”
“Ah, I can see why your size would be a prohibitor. Though I’m certain a human would have gotten creative to make a fix. But no use lamenting what is already done. And you, Jacob? How did you fare in the attack?” Maeve asked through a bite of fried sweetwood.
Jacob shrugged, “ah volunteered to help recover drifters after the raid cause, well, Spacesuit.” he gestured at his sadly un-blue pelts, “But Ah’m sure we we can talk about that even more in a bit. Fer now,” he shook the now empty fried dough bags, “Ah don’t think these were filling enough. Do any of y’all have suggestions on what else to eat?”
“Not around here if you’re looking for ‘filling’,” Maeve answered, “If I’m being honest, as delicious as I find their food, everything has been very calorie-light. I would ki-- uh… be very excited for some pasta. This girl needs her carbs!” She finished with a giggle.
“Well why not eat some Stringfruit?” I tilted my head so an eye pointed at her. “It’s one of the more dense foods, more content and less juice, and has a good amount of protein inside. Good savory taste, in my opinion.” I bowed in thought. “Or maybe some more Bunt leaf salad. Hearty plant. Bit neutral, but that makes it good with just about everything. And if even though it’s not my taste, firefruit is a good option for calories.” I watched the human’s piqued interest and answered as I whistled in amusement. “I’m big! Need to eat more to fuel my size!”
“I will take those notes! The three of us can check a cafe that we passed on the way. But Jacob, what were your first impressions when you got to Venlil habitations? The smell took some getting used to, but at least it’s not sour…”
“Smell?” Both Jacob and I spoke simultaneously. I continued with my ears. “What scent do you mean?”
“It’s just something I noticed while on the station. Humans have their own scents, some stronger than others, but I noticed that the Venlil are especially thick; might be a consequence of having to taste the air. You, for example, remind me of when I took a nap in a field of honeysuckle.”
As she spoke, I leaned towards her companions and took a scenting breath. A noticeably fruity scent breezed over my tongue. “Interesting. If multiple people were using the same scented fur-care, I can see how it would be overwhelming at first.” I leaned back. “But Jacob is going to get his own apartment. We are just waiting to hear from the magistratta with news. Should be on this paw or the next. I’m sure that sleeping on a couch wouldn’t be an accurate impression.”
“Certainly not,” Jacob agreed. “Just thankful the apartment is tall enough!”
“Yeah,” I whistled amusedly, “I can stand straight with my ears flat. Barely fitting for me, but good headroom for humans!
“But fer now,” Jacob began to rise, “my stomach demands to be satisfied. Perhaps we could all check out that cafe y’all noticed?”
Alvi perked up at that, “That would be fantastic! They had a stringfruit soup bowl with spiceleaf and nightberry on the window that I’d love to try! They're just leeward of the Dome, about two streets over.”
“That sounds wonderful,” I agreed, rising from my seat as all others followed suit. “I’m certain it will be a good treat!”
The humans reapplied their visors and coverings as we started to walk towards the stairs. This is so enjoyable! I could talk to these people for the whole paw!
Of course, for the walk, there was one observation I had made that reminded me of the previous Human Venlil trio we had met. Might as well ask.

Pre-rolls continue to rank as one of the more popular cannabis products today. Harrison Bard, CEO of Custom Cones USA, claims they are an easy way to expand your product line with many options for branded customization.
“It’s a cheap, accessible item where you can get someone to try your brand or a new strain and win new customers. The infused segments have been blowing up too.”
Below is my conversation with Harrison, who gives us many tips and tricks on turning a simple pre-roll into a brand-building catalyst.

Investing in pre-roll manufacturing equipment seems to be a profitable move judging from the success other cannabis companies have with it. What should someone consider when buying a pre-roll machine?
The technology is still in its infancy but quickly trying to adapt to the industry’s needs because of high consumer demand.
First and foremost, work with a reliable paper cone company to avoid significant manufacturing issues like having heavy metals, pesticides, or microbial in your end product which can risk costly recalls.
If the cones are not the right size, they won’t fit in your machines, or if the glue line is of a lower quality, it might bust open during the manufacturing process.
The quality of the paper matters too. There are different ways to roll the cone with as little paper as possible. We use a straight gun line with no overlapping paper except for the edge of the cone, so you are smoking less paper and more cannabis.

What are the options to customize a pre-roll and make it unique?
There are multiple ways you can individualize your pre-roll line, from cone size to paper type (hemp, botanical), filter length or diameter, glass tipped, and, of course, the weed content.
The newest emerging trends are pre-roll multipacks which contain various strains, and a one-gram cone with white rolling paper. Consumers also like buying in bulk to save money. Many prefer 5 to 10 packs, even up to 15 or 20. And we also see five-packs gaining popularity with 3.5 grams or 1/8 of flower. And then there is the Dog Walker brand, which GTI popularized out of Chicago and became a term people use to describe pre-rolls, similar to how people use the word Google.
My company does a lot of product development and design as well. We were the first company to release a hemp wrap blunt and a tube-shaped pre-roll similar to a cigarette without a filter. We’ve also worked on different botanical cones made of all-natural goji berries, a cocoa wrap, and a sage wrap, all of which are non-tobacco alternatives to a blunt wrap.

How Did The Preroll Craze Start?
There is now a machine to infuse pre-rolls. Originally, companies mixed the oil directly into the flower. You might be able to mix kief into flower or bubble hash, but it’s labor-intensive to homogenize that mixture and make it uniform. And then there’s the high likelihood that it’ll gunk up and stick throughout your manufacturing process, making your throughput much slower.
Infused pre-rolls make up almost 40% of all pre-roll sales. In Canada, pre-rolls are twice as popular as in the US. But they’re slow to catch on to the infused pre-roll trend or top-shelf connoisseur pre-rolls. So, a huge shift is happening in that category, and we expect a massive explosion in Canada with more top-shelf and infused payroll products soon.

How does the infusion machine work? I thought it was a manual process.
Yes, the machine is fascinating. It has a heated hopper to liquefy the cannabis concentrate and a medical-grade needle that pierces the joint and injects the oil right into the center of the pre-roll. We’ve had people use distillate to high-quality hash rosin.
And you could program the machine to have the rod of oil start 10 millimeters above the filter, then dispense for 30 millimeters, and then stop. There are issues with the infusion gumming and dripping. Some companies are painting it on the outside by rolling it in kief. But if you’ve ever lit one of those, you probably noticed a thick black plume of smoke because you’re directly combusting oil on fire producing harmful carcinogens. I don’t know the exact numbers, but you must be degrading a huge portion of the oil by burning it directly versus vaporizing it slowly throughout the time you’re smoking the pre-roll. People who are dabbing concentrate do it at a low temperature because it’s not burning and will have a better flavor. So by infusing it into the center, you’re actually vaporizing the oil and getting a much smoother, lighter smoke, and you get the full benefit of the oil versus directly combusting it.

What do you see as the next consumption craze after pre-rolls?
Infused pre-rolls are the next big thing, but more specifically, we’re seeing hash rosin emerge as one to watch and not only related to pre-rolls.
Hash rosin is solventless and the highest-quality concentrate you can make. As more consumers become connoisseurs, they will want the best and spend more money on it. The industry is maturing by moving away from low-grade distillate to higher-tier rosin-based products to infuse their edibles and pre-rolls. We’re expecting to see that continue to be a big trend.

What Does It Cost To Get Into the Preroll Business?
Pre-rolls are one of the most accessible, low-investment products you can make with cannabis. As long as you don’t have to grow the flower and can procure it on the wholesale market, it’s cheap. For less than $5,000, you can buy a grinder, pre-roll machine, and sifter. If you compare that to extraction equipment, it can cost thousands of dollars. All you need to operate pre-roll machines are 1-2 people, and you can make 2000 pre-rolls in an eight-hour shift. And for many small brands, that’s more than enough. They might not even be producing payrolls every day, just maybe a couple of days out of the week.
Pre-rolls are the third most popular category after flower and concentrates in the US. For an additional small investment to your product line, you could be making a high-margin item.

I ordered a godzilla t-shirt from them and was sent an email that it was shipped a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything since. The only updates I've received are the payments I am making for the purchase. I've tried to contact gojicenter through their instagram page, email, and commented on a youtube post asking this question to other viewers but no response. If you've ordered and received your items how did the process go and is there a way to contact them and actually get a response? This is disappointing as a customer and I was really hoping to get the shirt already as it was supposed to arrive last week.
