So basically I was driving in a slightly rural area but it was near a major city. And what happened was a drunk guy came into the centre of the road. Fortunately I wasn’t driving too fast and could stop before anything serious happened but however I couldn’t prevent touching him. My car touched him from the back before it completely halted and caused him to loose balance and he fell down. And thanks to my good luck the local villagers saw everything that happened and helped me in finding and taking him to the nearest hospital. There I was told nothing serious had happened and it was just a minor cut on his face. I paid for the dressing of the injury and offered to drop this drunk guy to his home. But he began a drunken rant about what enimity I had against him and other irrevalant things and basically kept of pestering me nonstop. He also showed signs of wanting money. He took me to an isolated area where stopped giving me directions to his home and that’s where he openly asked for money. So I gave him 1000 and told him that’s all I have. He later tried asking for more and started threatening to file a case against me. So I gave him 100 more and even then he refused and asked for more. As I was at the edge of my patience with him I told him to get out and left the scene. So my question is can and will any legal action be taken against me?

I live on the second floor of a small apartment building. It was built in the 1800’s so there’s not a lot of soundproofing. My downstairs neighbor (who I am friendly with, normally) is flipping out because my pug “barked all night”. I work from home mostly, I am a pretty big homebody…if I go out anywhere she texts me and complains that he’s barking again. Meanwhile, she used to have a huge old dog that she would let loose outside and he would shit all over the lawn and she wouldn’t pick it up. He would bark constantly and everyone was pissed. But he passed away last year, and now my pup is the bad guy. I try so hard to be quiet and I am so sick of her complaining…not to mention she yells on speakerphone all the time when she talks to people, and I have to sit there and listen to the whole conversation while I’m working. Hey Delhi, I'm a 25 yo guy and I feel Lost. I'm in a pretty bad phase right now. Need your advice, suggestions, and prayers. This is gonna be a long post so plz bear with me. To the mods - I really need to talk about it, it's eating me inside, please don't remove the post.
Being hit by a train of emotions while a slideshow of memories runs in my mind right now. I find it very intriguing how some people do irreparable damage to the person who loves them the most.
My GF of 4.5 yrs, a couple of years younger than me, abused me for 3 yrs before I snapped and walked out. I was tackling Medical and Judicial issues at home in these 3 yrs too, It was like getting battered from every aspect of my existence. I know I shouldn't have stayed there for that long but somehow it felt like it'll all get over someday and I held on. It was my first relationship and I was madly in love, truly. I had met her at a time when she was recovering from her previous breakup but we both liked each other instantaneously and I tried my best to help her get through that phase, from sending pizzas to her place without telling her to unannounced soft toys on the days she was feeling miserable and anxious. I did all that I thought would make me feel better if I was in her position and mental state. Then once we were officially together for 1.5 yrs, the abuse started.
It all started very slowly, she would ask me for help with her assignments, and by help she meant that I should do it for her. I saw it as a gesture of healthy dependency and didn't think much. Traveled to Faridabad from Patel Nagar to "deliver" her assignments at least 10 times, sometimes the assignments were of her elective language - Russian, But no matter the heat or cold, I was always there. Yet somehow, she always managed to nitpick errors in assignments and would yell at me over calls. Initially, I was surprised cuz a reaction of this type wasn't normal, but I shrugged it off thinking maybe I might have messed up somewhere. But every time I tried to perfect my work, I would still get yelled at. She also wouldn't decline advances from other guys and would play along, sometimes even going silent on video calls cuz she was texting other guys. One night I told her that I didn't feel good about it and that since we are in a relationship why does she need to entertain romantic advances from other guys? She brainwashed me into thinking that my concerns were unrealistic and that I "should be okay" with her shenanigans. Then came her final year, Holy Fuck what a year it was, she wanted to do internships so we discussed the details and both of us started to find openings. Around this time, she also wanted to prepare for UPSC and wanted to shift to Rajendra Nagar for coaching and stuff. I stared at her for idk how long but i zoned out, she slapped me twice more but i was suddenly in a flashback of how good things were between us, how i considered her a part of me and literally ebbed myself away to make her feel better... But since there was only 1 bed, she pushed me away and told me i had 2 options, either to stay standing up the whole night or sleep on the floor. I slept on her chair with my head down on the table. Couldn't sleep and tears kept rolling. You guys must know the physical pain we feel in our chest when we cry, add hunger pangs to it and that was me that night. I left her place at 5 AM, sat in the park for a while, and came back to my room barely holding my tears back. I texted her later and called her too but she didn't respond until 4 PM. She told me that she was out with her cousin sister the whole day and sent me pictures of them in a cafe. I looked at the picture and saw her smile, for a second I was like that's a beautiful smile girl and then I thought, how could someone go on a day outing, have fun and celebrate after beating and torturing their loved ones? After that night, slapping and kicking become common. Today is my bday and I stayed in the whole day remembering how we used to celebrate each others bdays, and now we are like strangers. She still stays in the same neighbourhood, i see her smtyms too and all i think is how easy it is for some people to move on. Like a breeze, leaving a trail of crumbs of a heart they pulverised. Nowadays when i take my anxiety pills, when i wake up in middle of night because i dreamt of those stuff with my heartbeat racing and sweating even with the AC on, i wonder - Is love like a non-newtonian fluid? If you hold on to it tightly, its strong but the moment you loosen grip it percolates between fingers.. But i was still holdin on tight, how did it percolate then? I didnt deserve such treatment, she hurt me more than she needed to if all she wanted was a breakup.. I wonder, will she remmber me when she looks at her curtains and the door frame and the soft toys that i gave? Cuz i still have kept an oregano packet from when we first met and had pizza at dominos.
I need help. It feels like I am a different person now, I want to unlearn many things that I developed to handle the trauma and still keep myself sane, but I don't know how. I know i cant reverse time but I wish I could format my brain rn. I have been to psychiatrist regarding my anxiety attacks and he told me to give myself time to recover, but its been months and i still feel numb inside. How do i get myself out of this slump? How do i trust people again? How do i know that theres not a rotten heart hiding under a beautiful face? how do i live and not just stay alive? I wish i could talk to god and ask him what my sins were for which i got so punished, naa toh health meri thik rahi, naa toh mann shant raha naa hi neend aati hai.. Kyun?

Hey Delhi, I'm a 25 yo guy and I feel Lost. I'm in a pretty bad phase right now. Need your advice, suggestions, and prayers. This is gonna be a long post so plz bear with me. To the mods - I really need to talk about it, it's eating me inside, please don't remove the post.
Being hit by a train of emotions while a slideshow of memories runs in my mind right now. I find it very intriguing how some people do irreparable damage to the person who loves them the most.
My GF of 4.5 yrs, a couple of years younger than me, abused me for 3 yrs before I snapped and walked out. I was tackling Medical and Judicial issues at home in these 3 yrs too, It was like getting battered from every aspect of my existence. I know I shouldn't have stayed there for that long but somehow it felt like it'll all get over someday and I held on. It was my first relationship and I was madly in love, truly. I had met her at a time when she was recovering from her previous breakup but we both liked each other instantaneously and I tried my best to help her get through that phase, from sending pizzas to her place without telling her to unannounced soft toys on the days she was feeling miserable and anxious. I did all that I thought would make me feel better if I was in her position and mental state. Then once we were officially together for 1.5 yrs, the abuse started.
It all started very slowly, she would ask me for help with her assignments, and by help she meant that I should do it for her. I saw it as a gesture of healthy dependency and didn't think much. Traveled to Faridabad from Patel Nagar to "deliver" her assignments at least 10 times, sometimes the assignments were of her elective language - Russian, But no matter the heat or cold, I was always there. Yet somehow, she always managed to nitpick errors in assignments and would yell at me over calls. Initially, I was surprised cuz a reaction of this type wasn't normal, but I shrugged it off thinking maybe I might have messed up somewhere. But every time I tried to perfect my work, I would still get yelled at. She also wouldn't decline advances from other guys and would play along, sometimes even going silent on video calls cuz she was texting other guys. One night I told her that I didn't feel good about it and that since we are in a relationship why does she need to entertain romantic advances from other guys? She brainwashed me into thinking that my concerns were unrealistic and that I "should be okay" with her shenanigans. Then came her final year, Holy Fuck what a year it was, she wanted to do internships so we discussed the details and both of us started to find openings. Around this time, she also wanted to prepare for UPSC and wanted to shift to Rajendra Nagar for coaching and stuff. We are moving to NJ and I’m trying to find a home to buy/rent . Right now I’m looking into Marlboro and Morganville areas but recently someone suggested to look into East Brunswick and South Brunswick. I see conflicting results when I google different forums . We are a mid 30’s Asian couple with a little kid . I was told the schools are good here but the ratings seem to say otherwise. Some else suggested that some parts in these areas have higher crime levels. It’s all super confusing at this time . For now both Wife and I work from home but if required she might travel to Bridgewater and to Princeton / NYC .
Any areas I can look into and in the same way any areas to avoid ?
Also if I have to take my kid to a beach which one would you suggest. My only requirement is clean water / beach and decent restrooms for my wife and kid to use .

For most of my teen years, I've always preferred solitude. I hated interacting with others and it felt like everyone was capable of draining me of my social battery in 2 sentences or less. I made a lot of enemies which now in hindsight i regret. Not because I want to be liked, but rather I pushed people away so that I didn't appear like a weak nerd who could get pushed around, and as a bonus it also made the education aspect of school harder as nobody were willing to help me with work. Despite this, I just sucked it up, learnt my lesson and stopped making enemies. This isn't to say that I started to make friends, it's just that I stopped being a complete dick. Instead of pushing people away, I did nothing. I simply didn't invite people in.
Until today, I joined this little club online where teens who loved law or were aspiring lawyers did mock trials together for fun. I was planning to major in Law for uni and I've got nothing better to do so I thought why not. I got to talking with the members and god I felt this sense of welcomeness I haven't felt since forever. I felt at home. Everyone felt real and mature and there wasn't any immature bickering or self-centeredness from members like other clubs I've joined before. Context: I have been seeing a girl as friends for a few month (we didn't see each other a lot since she works a lot, about 5 times only). She knows I am a lesbian and we have had some conversations about it. She told me that she had never really thought about if she would like to be with a woman, that she has only kissed girls when she was younger (she is older than me, and divorced her ex husband 5 years ago). I didn't take it as a romantic interest but she would tell me about how she had told friends about how fascinating I was, and she would call me beautiful. I know that it probably also doesn't mean much but the few last times we saw each other, she would drop me home, get out of her car and hug me for like 1 minute. On the other side, I am very attracted to her and not especially looking for a relationship...but still I would have liked things to go further.

I called her about 30 minutes later just to apologize for not asking and told her that honestly, i just did it because I wanted to, not with anything else in mind. She told me " i never had really an "impulse /a momentum / a drive (trying to translate a french word)" for anybody" -wich i didn't fully understand- "but yours really felt beautiful". She has told me before that she has never been in love even with her husband; and that she hung out with a guy recently who kissed her, and she kissed him back on the cheek only because she wasn't looking for that. I remembered that and told her I was sorry if i made her uncomfortable as this guy did, and she told me no because she didn't sense bad intentions this time and that she was even honoured that i kissed her. I have a hard time figuring out if she was just surprised, or trying to say nicely that she isn't attracted to me, or that she is somewhat asexual / aromantic or that she doesn't want anything outside of a relationship (while at the same time not wanting one) or just really thought that i wanted a relationship... I am planning on asking her about it, also because i want to know her more as a friend, but since we can't see each other often (i don't really like texts or calls), i would like to hear your thoughts on this !
PS: she has been single for a while, her last boyfriend was two years ago, even if she said they would "still sleep together sometimes" until about a year ago. He is her best friend now. Currently going through a divorce. Was instigated by my wife, after I discovered her cheating. I know this makes no difference as divorces are no fault....
Conditionl order granted in Feb this year. Currently being "hounded" to sign a financial order that I have apparently "agreed with in the past". This agreement consists of me walking away with nothing and the wife taking everything.
No children in the relationship, own outright a home of £140000 as tenants in common with a 50/50% split. I have no pensions due to not working due to mental health concerns.
Basically, how do I proceed? I have no money for a solicitor, don't qualify for legal aid and don't have the mental energy to really deal with this and it's taking its toll on my mental health quite badly. If I was to sign this, would the court actually approve such a biased order?

Wife and I went through a rough patch about 9 months ago leading to marriage counseling. No infidelity, but we had issues with communication, my own insecurities, raising 3 young kids, her being a SAHM, and more that led to her almost shutting me out/turning me away. Marriage counseling really helped over the months and we’re in a pretty good place.
We go out on dates a lot more, are a better team at home with the kids, and things overall look great. But when we check-in with each other occasionally, she says she is still “working through things” and “trying to stay positive”. I’ve even heard her say this to her friend. Intimacy is also still not where it was (only 4 times since our rough patch started).
For those who came out the other end with their partner, how long did it take? I know a timeframe can’t be put on it, as it’s a constant work in progress. But just curious.

The public will have their first in-person shot Monday to chime in on the Oakland Athletics’ ballpark financing bill.Dirty! They release the bill on Friday night and give the public ONE DAY - MEMORIAL DAY - to give comment. They obviously don't want to give you a chance to be heard!
Senate Bill 509 is set to be heard Monday at 4 p.m. during a joint meeting of the Senate Committee on Finance and the Assembly Committee on Ways and Means.
Both the Senate and the Assembly must approve of the bill before it gets passed to Gov. Joe Lombardo to sign it into law. The legislative session ends June 5.
Introduced Friday night, SB509 would provide the A’s up to $380 million in public money to go toward their planned $1.5 billion, 30,000-seat, retractable roof stadium. The ballpark would be located on 9 acres of the 35-acre Tropicana Las Vegas site.

Some things to consider:
- John Fisher's business strategy is to field the team with the lowest payroll and make a profit by collecting redistributed luxury tax paid by the other teams. This is why fans won't attend games in Oakland. As soon as a player shows promise, the A's trade him away. The product he is bringing is truly minor league.
- Look at attendance at UNLV men's basketball and UNLV football. These are perpetually losing programs, just like the A's. NOBODY GOES TO THESE GAMES. Given that the bonds will be paid first by taxes on ticket sales, it is highly probable that this mechanism will fall short and that you and I will pay of the bonds for John Fisher's stadium. Fisher will collect the MLB luxury tax in an empty stadium we are paying for, laughing all the way to the bank!
- The Las Vegas Strip is the greatest stage in the world. Why would we settle for the worst franchise in MLB and the four major league sports??? Las Vegas deserves an expansion team that is an actual Vegas team, like the Golden Knights. With an owner like Bill Foley.
- This move would make it LESS likely that we will ever get an NBA team. There are only a handful of cities with all four major league teams. They are all much MUCH larger than Las Vegas.
