I have a 16 YO Pomeranian Chihuahua mix that is very petite — 4.5lbs. He’s obviously a senior and on various heart medications, but he is still incredibly spirited. He loves to roam the back yard, bark at everything that moves (and some things that don’t), chase things that buzz about, cuddle, run to you, etc. He’s surprisingly spritely for his age.
That being said, his body cannot always keep up with his desires. The biggest issue is his back. The arthritis is pretty bad there and a couple of his knees, and I can tell he has days that are better than others. I carry him whenever there’s uneven ground and have a lot of pillows, rugs etc on the floors to just give him places to walk along and rest. Is there anything else I could be doing to help? He has his next checkup on Friday; I’m going to discuss supplements with the vet.
I cannot express how much I love my little guy, and I just want to do whatever he needs to support him in his golden years.

Recently I got into a conversation with a roommate my partner and I JUST moved in with. We live with him, his wife and daughter.
The conversation was heading towards a more personal/political topic which I did not try to provoke. He started combatively pushing his opinions on me to which I responded in disagreement, then out of no where, he exploded on me cussing and yelling at me! I am pregnant and not wanting to further engage with this person. Right now, my partner and I do not have the means to leave this situation. I’m sure that soon we will all have to talk about it. Although it’s possible he calms down and doesn’t do it again, I have no desire to continue developing any friendship or communication with him ever again. I need advice on how I will approach this situation when the time comes that a group discussion occurs? Ill need to let them know I have no interest in interacting with him during the rest of my time here. This has put unnecessary stress on me.

Okay so theres a lot to this so bare with me because we just had this dumb fight and Im still pretty heated. Also I am going to try to keep things a little vague just in case anyone in my family sees this but Ill try and answer any questions I can. I already had to edit this once so I may have to do it again. So back in February of 2022 my aunt got busted with a small amout of meth and got charged with possession and intent to sell or something but I guess the cop lied on her police report about something which landed her probation. (Idk if its important info or not but Ill add it anyway. Shes been in and out of jail for multiple reasons, but this is the first time shes ever been busted with drugs so idk if that had any effect on her leniency or not or if shes even telling the truth about the whole thing) So thats all well and great but then her court date comes around and she skips out on it and now theres a warrent out for her arrest. She was couch surfing for a while but basically everyone got tired of her attitude and hostility and kicked her out and ended up in our laps at the beginning of the year. My dad is her fraternal twin and hes helped her his entire life and obviously has a soft spot for her so I already know he has no intention on turning her in. (She said she would turn herself in but gave no date) and shes been pretty helpful around the house, however today her and I got into a screaming match (not the first one since shes been here, and not the first one with me either. Her and my mom have gotten into it quite a bit. Shes an alcoholic so little things set her off, this time I was doing a diy project and messed up something of my dads on accident and my aunt started freaking out about it. I do have every intention on replacing what I damaged and my dad knows this) so I basically told her she can talk and act any way she wants to my parents but Im not afraid to call the cops on her to turn her in. She threatened to call the cops on us bc we have more pets than legally allowed in my county (7 dogs and 4 cats and the limit, I believe, is 3 and 3). Also if I turn her in since shes been staying with us for so long I really dont want any of us slapped with charges for letting her stay (im 22 and live with my parents) and ive heard of charges like "harboring a fugitive" and idk if this would be the same thing so any advice would be super helpful. And yes I know a good option would be to move out, im trying but currently that is not an option. My dad also heard about all of this and didnt say anything either way but my mom is tired of her too but we are just worried about what will happen when we start that mess. So legally what would happen to my family if my aunt were to get turned in? (I tried posting this in the legal advice section already bc I missed some things during my edit and its making me message and wait on the mods so Im waiting on that too)

I (18M) have been struggling with low self esteem issues for years now, and I’ve just fully realized that I need to do something about it. Since I can’t get therapy(parents don’t believe in therapy and I don’t got the money to pay for myself), I’ve decided to improve my self worth by going outside of my comfort zone and trying things I’ve always wanted to do but never felt I was good enough to do. One of the things I plan on doing is going out more to talk to a bunch of people in the hopes of becoming more socially knowledgeable without the worry of making a mistake and having to see that person again.
