Garden of Cheese - Day 13
Garden of Cheese - Day 13
I’m testing out 11 different strains of Cheese to find a few good candidates to grow in larger quantities.
Original Cheese, Thai Cheese, Blue Cheese, Lemon Cheese, Fast Cheese, Sweet Cheese, White Cheese, Mac ’N Cheese, Big Buddha Cheese, Triple Cheese & Royal Cheese.
I repotted the very last seedling that was the runt of the litter. It looks like they are needing nitrogen so I gave them a hit of some 30-10-10 at 250ppm. I really don't want to push them too hard while they are small. Since the plan for these is to mother them out for clones, im fine with under feeding them a little bit so they don't get locked out.
4x 100w LED lights. 450 ppfd. 18 hours of light. 100ml nutes at 250ppm, 6.1ph. Light soil and perlite mix. CO2 1000ppm. 75 degrees. 75% humidity.

2023.06.04 15:47 Brandyscloset9 So happy with my progress

Hi everyone. I'm normally don't ever brag about anything because that's certainly not how I am but I just had to share how happy I am with my weight loss. I was thinking of raising from. 25 to. 50 because I feel so bloated. I'm also going through menopause, I'm 53 years old. I haven't had my period in almost a year and 4 days ago I got it and I feel so bloated and so much water retention, which is why I was thinking of raising my dosage. I was so nervous to get on the scale this morning and I'm so happy. I lost almost 4 lbs in 2 weeks . So I'm not going to raise it up. I've been so careful with what I've been eating too. . No bread, no cakes, candy. I have to remind myself to eat so I've been eating a lot of protein. I not hungry at dinner but I eat a little. I've also been walking on my lunch hour every day at work . So I'm guessing lifestyle changes really make a difference. Just wanted to share that. :) Thank you

2023.06.04 15:45 Big-Research-2875 Structure and function of Cell membrane

Structure Of Cyto Membrane

Developing the fluid mosaic model;

In 1972, S. dessert apple Singer and Garth diplomatist developed the fluid-mosaic model of membrane structure. in line with this model, a membrane may be a double layer (bilayer) of proteins and phospholipids, and is fluid instead of solid. The lipoid bilayer forms a fluid “sea” during which specific proteins float like icebergs.
Being fluid, the membrane is in a very constant state of flux—shifting and ever-changing, whereas retentive its uniform structure. The word mosaic refers to the various totally different types of proteins spread within the lipoid bilayer.
Structure and function of Cell membrane

Details of fluid mosaic model;

The following ar details of the fluid-mosaic model:

1. Lipids bilayer ;

The phospholipids have one polar finish and one nonionic finish. The polar ends ar familiarised on one facet toward the surface of the cell and into the fluid living substance on the opposite facet, and therefore the nonionic ends face one another within the middle of the bilayer.

Tail is hydrophobic;

The “tails” of each layers of lipoid molecules attract one another and ar repelled by water (they ar hydrophobic, “water dreading”).

Head is hydrophilic;

As a result, the polar spherical “heads” (the phosphate portion) ar placed over the cell surfaces (outer and inner) and ar “water attracting” (they ar hydrophilic).

2023.06.04 15:41 divinebovine1989 Confused

Hello,
I am looking to see if I qualify for Mensa for personal reasons. I am a teacher and read a book about gifted adults and youth and share many of the traits and problems. When I was a kid I was always the top of my class, and I went to a very selective school. I won the science fair by splitting water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen in 6th grade. I remember pouring over chemistry textbooks and being in love with redox reactions. I took Algebra 2 in 7th grade (did very well) and was valedictorian in 8th grade.
But then, around 10th grade I stopped functioning. It was major depression, physical and emotional abuse and racial trauma at the new overwhelming public high school I attended after I moved across the country. Everything became very difficult. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder ten years later, after college, after all my grades had been destroyed and I had struggled much and lost motivation. At this point in life, I thought my days of being smart were long gone and I was dumb. ( I agree with the diagnosis and have had manias and depressions.)
But then I got on medication and went to graduate school and dominated. Like, on my cardiovascular and pulmonary exam an A was a 73. I got a 92. Only one other person in the class got a score in the 90s in a class with hundreds of people. I was working 20 hours a week and running every day. I didn't feel like I was slaving at school. It felt good, like I was in a flow. I got straight As, barely remembering anything from undergrad since my brain hadn't been working then and I didn't retain everything (seriously, it didn't fully click that a protein was a string of amino acids until graduate school).
Despite my abysmal academic performance in the latter half of high school, my SAT score had been a 1470 (out of 1600). I know the score is good but not stellar, but at the time I had undiagnosed bipolar disorder and was not able to study, so I really took it cold with not that great concentration. I later became an SAT tutor and sat for the exam, again without studying just to get the job, and got a and got perfect to nearly perfect on a few practice tests. My brain felt clear, like it did when I was younger and excelling in school. When my bipolar diagnosis is stabiliized, I find it much easier to think and I feel like a smart person and get feedback from the world that I am a smart person.
For some reason, on the Mensa IQ Challenge told me I got a 105 IQ. I understand that I might not be Mensa level, I just don't believe that I'm average.
Does anyone have any insight into this?

2023.06.04 15:35 ParsleyMostly Braveheart Sucks

In my 40s, love historical, sci-fi, fantasy, etc films. Somehow missed Braveheart the first time around. Watched it with my son (24) the other day, and marveled over the cheese factor.
The battle scenes were pretty good, and the constant betrayals were hilarious. Love the Irish guy and proto-cyborg Jeor Mormont. Robert the Bruce was excellent, and the hot voguing bf of Edward was fun.
But holy shit, I could not handle the mullets, moussed up WW hair, and the lack of clarity regarding the passage of time. This could have benefitting from some heavy editing and even some narration. Definitely needed a non hill climbing montage in a few places. And maybe more of the saucy blonde lady in waiting. Again, the betrayal stuff was really fun.
The worst thing about this film (other than Mel’s blatant adoration of himself) was WW speaks French to Murron but not to the weirdo French princess he screws. (He takes out her guards, bangs her, and how does she make it back safely, lol wut?) Why, why, why establish dude knows French is he’s not going to use it to sweet talk French princess? Don’t care if there’s a deleted scene, it’s weird. No wonder everyone creamed their pants over LOTR when it came out. Braveheart makes Excalibur look serious. (I love Excalibur, it’s iconic. But it’s silly af.)

2023.06.04 15:31 kskbd Night sweats and fevers for five months

35 yo female, 5'7", 72kg, white, with current complaint of fevers and night sweats, fatigue. History significant for follicular thyroid cancer, asplenia, and left lower lobectomy. Medications include levothyroxine, venlafaxine, and OCP. Started on prophylactic azithromycin a month ago for asplenia. Currently in UK, but US citizen. Sorry in advance for the long post!
To give a little background, I was diagnosed with angioinvasive follicular thyroid cancer at age 22, followed with RAI. Had spots glow on scan on my left lung and spleen. Always had intermittent left sided pain that radiated to right shoulder, but previous doc dismissed it as a pulled muscle with no workup. Due to my symptoms and inconclusive biopsy of both lung and spleen, it was decided to remove my spleen with concerns of metastasis. No malignancy, concluded that it was xanthogranulomatous tissue. About a year and half later, started coughing up frank blood. Scans revealed the lung mass had doubled in size. It was decided to remove this as well. Same conclusion: xanthogranulomatous tissue. No fungus or bacteria were grown. Saw rheum, but they did no workup, just detailed history. Did not think it was autoimmune.
13 years pass in good health. At the end of 2022, I started having back to back to back URTIs that were quite debilitating and took forever to recover from. This sent off alarm bells in my head as I'm not usually sick. Even with COVID the year prior, I recovered quite quickly. Then started having fevers (highest being 38.4c) and night sweats (3/7 nights of the week). Initially went to endocrinologist and my thyroglobulin was fine, had a neck USS which was NAD. Also had CT CAP which was NAD aside from some liver abnormalities which are going to be investigated by hepatology in July. LFTs were normal and have remained normal this entire time.
At this time, my bloods showed elevated fibrinogen, low APTT, CRP of 15, lymphocytes 4, high total protein, high globulins, normal albumin, platelets 500. This was enough for the GP to refer me to haematology. Haematologist took one look at my CT CAP and said it was probably just viral and discharged me. GP wasn't impressed. Ordered more tests which revealed the following: ESR of 52, ANA positive (1:320) homogenous pattern, positive Ro60 on ENA screen, IgG and IgA both high, IgM normal, CRP has continue to increase and is now 26. All other previous test results were more or less the same. Ferritin is 131 with normal iron studies, normal b12, normal folic acid.
My GP is very lost and has referred me to rheumatology (which I understand) and has asked oncology if a PET scan would be worthwhile. I have no other significant symptoms but do feel like shit most days, just generally unwell. No rash, no joint pain. Lost about 2 kgs in the last couple months wihtout trying. Appetite comes and goes. I'm a nurse and am trying to not be that annoying patient but I have a bad gut feeling and wondered if anyone could offer any suggestions. I feel like it's just going to take running into the right person with the right previous experience and knowledge to figure out what is going on. Any advice is welcome and happy to answer any other questions! :) Thanks!
As an aside: I wonder why they haven't done a blood film or SPEP?

2023.06.04 15:27 IMAWNIT 12-Day Trip Review and Things I learned - Long Post

Hi everyone! This forum was very helpful in the last few weeks prior to my trip. My trip was from May 22 to June 2.
This was a trip 3 years in the making and then Covid happened in 2020 and we had to cancel almost everything. Rebooked everything last year and resumed.
Our itinerary was ambitious but doable and we decided to rent a car and drive around the country/ring road with stops at the major sties that interested us. Here are the details and notable memorable things for those interested:
- We noticed about 90% of people who drive around the country go counterclockwise. When researching I wasn't sure what the reasoning was. We decided to go Clockwise and 100% would recommend it for us; given the time of year we went. For every 25+ cars we saw going the OPPOSITE direction, we had 1 on our direction. Which meant less cars to deal with for us. Having said that, we chose to do Golden Circle last and by then it was "underwhelming" as I had read and agree after going to the rest of the country.
- We rented from Blue Car rental and they were amazing. Loved the service, the car was great, pick up and drop off was a breeze and they had almost the cheapest price for us.
- AVOID GRAVEL ROADS AT ALL COSTS! Google maps base it on speed limit and most are 80km/hr but I don't think anyone does it and we ended up driving 50km/hr for most and it felt like we wasted more time. If I could find all paved roads instead and take a longer route I would recommend. SOme pothole IMO were way too large even for our car.
- We were WELL prepared for clothing; waterproof out shells, fleece inner and layers. BUT I'd suggest getting the lightest waterproof shell cause during hike I took off all layers and my "parka" was heavy. It the only waterproof shell I had. My husband had a light one and was fine.
- Never need merino wool base layers, walking sticks etc. Brought them for no reason.
- I didn't care too much about precipitation nor temperature but the WIND is the true enemy. It is insane and really determines your success. Some spots I originally thought (we can picnic with our own lunch) and that never happened. Decided early on to just eat in the car due to weather and wind.
- We brought granola bars, protein powder for breakfast, instant noodles and then just bought bread/ham/PB and Jelly at grocery stores. Food was reasonable in grocery stores and we ate most meals there. To be honest, Bonus was so hyped when I researched that in the end, I preferred Netto and bought most grocery items from Kronan. WAAAAY more selection, better quality and to be honest I barely noticed the difference in price. The real difference in price is gas stations and small town "stores" for food.
- I researched pumping gas but it was still a bit confusing at first. Getting receipts and other items is odd to me but we managed near the end
- Yellow and wind days are scary and it nearly ruined 2 days and it basically cancelled most excursions. Snafellsness was cut short due to wind and it was insane and it was our first day out of Reykjavik. It was beautiful though and Arnarstapi was my favourite of all stops even though we had a ton of places planned. We basically skipped the beaches as the weather got bad.
- Stay flexible, all of my planned stops had a "mandatory" or "optional" so I can figure what to do if thigns came up. If an excursion cancelled; we had a backup. I'd basically say minimize (unless you REALLY want to) any water-related activity; whale watching, kayaking etc because wind is a huge factor. To be honest whale watching when on my last was OK. We saw whales and dolphins but the waves were "calm" but nnot for me so after a while I was fine heading back. But I'm glad I did it.
- Favourite places: Arnarstapi, Studlagil Canyon (when I went we walked entirely from further paking lot on east side, anyone car can get to the closer parking lot to save 1hr of extra walking), Puffins in Borgarfjardarhofn, Hverir and Hverfell (impromptu hike and it was amazing), Myvatn in general was a favourite of mine, Jokulsarlon Glacier and Diamond Beach, Black Sand Beaches, the drive in North Iceland when it was all snowcaps and Gljufragui.
- Most waterfalls up north were not that impressive (Godafoss and Dettifoss) tbh. And south waterfalls somehow felt more attractions than natural wonders imo.
- When we did eat out the food quality was excellent for what it was but the prices for many things were hard to justify; so we ate out minimally. Sad to say I personally don't think Scandinavian food in general (sorry to generalize) isn't for me for long term; I really missed other flavours like spices etc.
- We loved basically all of our stays; guesthouses, hotels, apartments etc. We had a mix. Grund I Grundarfirdi for Snaefellsness was great! K16 apartments in Akureyri was excellent! Hotels down in Hofn and Kirkjubaejarklaustur were also very nice.
- 1 day max in Reykjavik is more than enough
- We had to skip a few places due to weather: hike saxholl crater, Raudfeldsgja gorge, beaches, Asbyrgi (it was between puffins or this and it was a no brainer), Seydisfjordur, Hvalnes, Vestrahorn, top side of Dyrholaey, Kvernufiss, Reykjadalu hot springs, Bruarfoss
- We went to Myvatn Hot springs and Laugarvatn Fontana. Myvatn was amazing. Laugarvatn was alright; more like a fancier local swimming pool. We did not do any other hot springs.
- Thingvellir to be honest is skippable. Wish we did the Reyjadalu instead.
- I felt the time or yeaday we went or maybe direction we headed, I expected WAY more tourists; especially southern coast. The busiest day was at Thingvellir and it was busy but not unbearable. All other places were quite quiet and pretty decent imo. Even north Iceland felt a little busier at Godafoss and Hverir vs the Southern coast.
- All in all I enjoyed my trip but felt I did what I planned to do and being sick the last few days (best not to eat mystery cold fish during a breakfast buffet) didn't help either as I spent a lot of time worrying about the restroom situation when I went. All locals and people we were met were friendly, nice, helpful and made our stay welcoming and fun. All tours and excursions we did end up doing (horseback riding in Vik, Kayaking in Stokkseyri and whale watching in Reykjavik (last minute booking since the Akureyri one was cancelled) were all well done. Oh and ice cream here is amazing! I'm glad I tried it as often as I could!

2023.06.04 15:22 Apanharammefds Threshold monocytosis and Creatinine levels alongside reflux.

Hello everyone, I need some help after more than a month of testing and no conclusive results. 33M, 187cm, 80kg. No prior diseases. No smoking. No drinking. No drugs. Exercise 3-4x/week. Consume protein (50g), collagen, magnesium, biotin, zinc and vit B and E.
Symptoms: reflux (february 2023 after resistant pneumonia); fatigue; slight dysphagia (something stuck in my throat); muscle soreness; tips of two fingers with skin peeling; interrupted sleep; lombar spinal pain.
TL;DR: dehydration on 26th of April lead to discovering threshold monocytosis and creatinine levels (sustained throughout a month). ECG fine. Reflux worsened. Several auto-immunes and others covered in testing: negative. Total CK at 226. No kidney/liver damage found in ecography. Slight gastritis found in endoscopy. Lombar CAT clean.
I had a dehydration crisis on April 26th. ECG normal. Slight monocytosis (14,3% of total lymphocyte volume; monocyte volume: 1,04x109/L) and threshold creatinine (1,49 mg/dL) with high urea at 53 mg/dL. All other values normal. Was treated with IV and sucralfate alongside omeprazol prescription.
May 12th values: monocytosis at 10,3% of lymphocyte volume (0,65x103 microL) and creatinine 1,32 mg/dL. All other values (including urea), alongside lots of testing for common auto-immunes, good/negative.
May 23rd values (stopped protein powder consumption for these 11 days): creatinine 1,31 mg/dL. All other values (including urea and diabetes), alongside more testing for auto-immunes, good/negative.
June 2nd values: only tested for muscle degeneration and CK was at 226.
My symptoms have remained unchanged, with a worsening of the fatigue. I went to a gastroenterologist who prescribed me stronger reflux meds, which helped, and said that it could've been the antibiotics for resistant pneumonia that caused damage. Also went to a dermatologist to check for skin cancers (lots of moles), but all good.
My doctor suspected a potential polimyositis.
Any help or feedback appreciated.

Today's Breakfast: Honey and Lemon Zest Ricotta on Toast Topped w/Sliced Strawberries ~ 285 Calories
Hi Community,
I post a lot of pimped out oatmeal breakfasts, but I also like a lavishly decked out toast for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The entire meal was about 330 calories. If necessary, you could probably shave off some calories by using a different bread, but I prefer this nutritionally dense brand. It has 5 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber. Less honey is also an option if your fresh fruit topping is sweet. Unfortunately, mine needed some help.
Details:
1 slice Omega Me Crazy Sprouted Whole Wheat Bread ~ 110 calories
1/4 cup Part- skim Ricotta Cheese ~ 90 calories
2 tsp Honey ~ 45 calories
3/4 cups Sliced Fresh Strawberries ~ 40 calories
Lemon zest (mixed in the ricotta and garnishing theo top)
Coffee with 2 Tbsp Torani Sugar Free Salted Carmel Syrup and 2 Tbsp evaporated milk ~ 45 calories

Sorry, I know it’s a daily watch at this point but this seemed significant enough to share since there’s so much speculation. Still feels like something is up but I don’t think Rachael would say she’s happy if they just ended.

2023.06.04 15:01 kelamitykass Surgery in 1 week. I need your greatest hits on protein isolates.

F 28 SW 240 GW 150-175.
I am getting surgery in a week and am trying to prep for the turbulent ride that will be that all-liquid diet. I was hoping to just add protein isolate to almond milk or water (I have been vegetarian/vegan a long time, so I hate real milk and most meat tbh).
I’m sure you’ve all tried every brand under the sun, so I was wondering:
1) Best-tasting flavorless protein isolate? Did you add any flavorings with it to water?
2) Best-tasting regular protein isolate?
3) Also, any other greatest hits for snacks, foods, etc. for liquid and soft diet phase highly appreciated.
Thanks:)

2023.06.04 14:58 SickusBickus Hi, folx. I'm President Biden's personal physician. Joe has generously lent my aid and expertise to Jamie Foxx. I can assure you all Mr. Foxx is perfectly healthy - in fact, the stroke boosted his immune system and he's now in peak physical and mental condition. I literally can't keep up with him.

You may remember that President Biden passed his physical and mental health checks with flying colours. I've literally never seen a more physically capable and mentally sound 80 year old. He's more God than man. When he took his shirt off for me to examine him, I was floored by his bulging biceps and rock-hard abs. I put my stethoscope to his chest and I could hear TWO healthy heart beats! Either the man is pregnant (entirely possible - fuck yeah, science!) or he's a heckin' Time Lord!
We then played chess to test his mental ability - Joe beat me within seconds every time. Then he solved a Rubik's cube in a microsecond. And then he performed advanced physics and mathematics for me in fluent Latin. All without stuttering, falling asleep or shitting his pants. I must admit I was in awe of this absolute titan of staggering intellect and Herculean strength stood before me, and even a bit aroused if I'm being honest. My head was dizzy by the time we were finished, Joe quite literally ran (and cycled) absolute rings around me, and he didn't even break a sweat.
When Joe heard the shocking, unexplainable and sudden news about Jamie Foxx (one of his most absolute favourite actors) suffering a stroke, he unashamedly wept whilst delivering an impromptu soliloquy about life and death to his White House staff. It was absolutely beautiful. He had the entire room in tears. I came.
Shortly after, Joe gently pulled me aside (had he not been so gentle and tender with his grip my arm would have ripped clean from my body), and instructed me to attend to Mr. Foxx immediately. Joe personally flew me in his private jet to Mr. Foxx's hospital, where he was already well on his way to full recovery. We spent a few hours playing pickleball and shooting the breeze with Mr. Foxx until Joe reluctantly left, pulled away on urgent and vital Presidential business (sending more money and weapons to Ukraine and choosing which flavour of ice cream he wanted for desert later that evening).
I set about trying to determine the elusive cause of Mr. Foxx's stroke, immediately disregarding and ruling out the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines he had nobly and smartly received. Alas, despite rigorous tests, much pondering about race and climate change, and invasive questions about how much Mr. Foxx gardened or slept with the TV on, I was unable to find what triggered the minor and extremely mild stroke. I let out a heavy sigh as I scrawled down my lack of findings on my clipboard, before making a note recommending Mr. Foxx for another booster jab ASAP.
Despite this and rumours to the contrary, Mr. Foxx is in great health. Peak physical condition. If anything, he's even stronger and sharper than he was pre-stroke. He's been spending every waking minute working out, playing full-on, hard-contact American Football, and even taking part in some light Greco-Roman wrestling! However, his mild medical episode and the subsequent spotlight cast on him by alt-right anti-vaxxers has left him painfully shy and borderline reclusive, and he now wishes to withdraw from acting, social media and public life altogether. Please respect his privacy. Mr. Foxx has asked me to make a brief statement to his fans on his behalf, reassuring them that the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, and to please get vaccinated immediately.

Strawberry Lotus (1THC:1CBD) by Resinate Review
8th of strawberry lotus 1:1
Bag Appeal: Medium size frostyish nugs. A little bit of age too them. The picture I took is terrible, it looks a lot better in person. Sorry not a photographer and I got shit to do today lol.
Smell: Sweet in a vanilla way, herbal, hints of berry(but it takes some discovery to get them). Pleasant.
Smell intensity: 5/10 not the loudest in the bunch
Flavor: In my dynavap here are the notes I got per hit. 1. Creamy sweet. 2. Unmistakable strawberry and cream. 3. burnt chocolate + pine (I went a little past full extraction). Fresh pack. 1. Sweet strawberry. 2. strawberry milk shake. Finally a strain that tastes like it should. Seriously enjoyable and I find myself packing bowls for the flavor only to find I am maybe more stoned then I wanted to be :P. Beautiful when vaped.
Texture: No boveda in the jar, but still flexible stems. Somewhat sticky for being dry. Not crumbly at all, good nug integrity. Good bud structure, not too dense, definitely not fluffy.
Effects: I vape a lot of CBD + THC. I am not sure if this really is a 1:1, but its probably close. Little bit of stress as the effects came on, but once everything settled in it was very manageable. Surprisingly a heavy hitter for <15% THC. Pretty relaxing, a little on the sleepy side after the peak. Mind calmly wandering without a doubt. Good for evening PTSD struggles and some pain relief(probably not if you need high THC for your pain for me CBD + THC is the ticket).
Package Date: 1/23/23, yes this is on the old side. You can tell by the coloration in the photo. But, despite that, it's enjoyable. Slightly old nug is nice for me, as it usually has some CBN which helps me out a lot. This wasn't sold to me as slight of hand, I seek out older nugs, and the bud is just fine for its age, its been stored properly.
Price Point: 40 an 8th.
Would I buy it again?
Yes. But, I would love to purchase it in bulk at a lower price per 8th (160-180/zip would be excellent). It tastes really great, the effects are nice, and 1:1s or even 2:1's are exceedingly rare in the MA market. It's a rare treat, and I had to pounce on it because it had some age too it (again CBN seeking). If I were on a budget I would avoid this and buy an ounce of CBD hemp for cheap and a cheap ounce of something else to mix with, but I had to splurge on the 1:1 and was not let down.
Disclaimer
I don't work in the industry. If resinate is a brand that infuriates you to the point of racist tirades smoke a bowl and find another place to post. All I know is what I got and I like it a lot.

What products/routine steps could I benefit from!!
I used to be hyper vigilant with my skincare (it’s been so long that I forgot what AHAs,BHAs etc mean).
So much life has happened in the past few year that led me to neglect my skincare and I want to build up a new routine.
Routine Now: Nothing in the morning
Night: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Face Wash (at night only)
then Mountain Lotus Face cream - a ingredients are almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax, vitamin E oil, rose geranium essential oil, patchouli essential oil.

2023.06.04 14:45 gigamegaturbochad Losing weight but getting more calories every check in - what's going on?

I've lost about 25kg (112kg to 87 CW)and tracked all of it using macrofactor. I'm getting close to my initial goal of being under 80kg, but every check-in increases my calories and I'm curious how that's possible. I've been doing 1600-1800 calories a day this whole time with high protein, ignoring when the app told me to go up.
I've been lifting this whole time, and InBody says I've gained muscle mass, showing a successful partial recomp as I've lost fat. Is it telling me to eat more calorie-wise to gain more muscle mass? I'm hitting the recommended macros (but not fat, mostly just carbs and protein).
I dunno, is this enough info? Any guidance on why it's telling me to eat more would be appreciated.

2023.06.04 14:41 TheBabyBeard What do you think was the turning point for Tim Hortons that marked the decline in their level of quality and service?

I remember walking into a Tim Hortons as a kid and being hit with the scent of fresh donuts and coffee. My family would make regular trips to Timmies, order some donuts and eat them in store. My dad used to get the Apple Fritter which was a giant monstrosity back then. My mom would order a couple of Honey Dips which were literally DRIPPING with Honey. And my sister and I would get whatever sprinkled or cream filled donut was popular at the time. But whatever we got didn’t matter - because it was made fresh and so damn good.
Nowadays, it seems Tims has diversified their menu too much. And while they offer great variety, none if it is actually good food.
For me, I would say the turning point for Tims was when they started making sandwiches back in the 90’s. I didn’t mind the sandwiches - but it marked the transition from Tim’s as the coffee and donut shop to the….whatever it is trying to be today.
I wish Tim’s could revert back to their old model of offering a smaller selection of food of higher quality then the barely edible (and often wrong or ill prepared) slop they sell today.
Thanks for trying Tims - but really what I wanted was just a fresh, big, delicious goopy, sloppy, Honey Dip donut. Not the Lime Chipotle New Zealand Lamb and Pineapple Breakfast taco Quesadilla Farmers Wrap….or whatever.
When did Tims change for you guys?
