Hey there! So, I've been into roleplaying for about three years now, and I'm currently looking for a new long-term partner.
Here's the deal: I'm on the lookout for a long-term RP partner who knows or keeeps up with the current product of wrestling. I've got this idea to do a roleplay set in the wrestling business, where we treat the whole "kayfabe" aspect as if it were real. It'd be awesome if my partner is creative and can come up with their own storyline ideas too. Pro wrestling is such a unique and exciting industry, and I think we can have a blast exploring it through roleplay.
So, here's how it'd go down: We start with our OCs in developmental (let's go with WWE for now) where we gotta prove ourselves before making it to NXT. In the beginning, we'll set up the world, introduce characters, antagonists, and maybe even some love interests. Then, our characters would move on to NXT, where the goal is to make a name for ourselves in front of the roaring crowd. We'll be part of numerous storylines, fighting for the main world title or tag title, overcoming obstacles, and taking on adversaries. Finally, after NXT, our characters would move up to the main roster (there's gonna be a brand split with two world titles for each brand). From there, we can decide if our characters split up if we were buddies or a team, pursue singles careers, win the top world title, or even headline WrestleMania. I'm totally open to my RP partner bringing in their own ideas and characters. Let's find a middle ground where we both have a blast!
This project is gonna be a long-term adventure with a diverse cast of characters, relationships, and conflicts both inside and outside the ring. We'll dig deep into our characters' personal lives and explore all the drama that unfolds in and out of the spotlight.

Hi! I'll start with my basics, I'm looking for an experienced and detailed roleplayer who can match my level and how much interest I put in roleplaying. I don't have plot limits to roleplay besides major character de*th, but if you do express them to me clearly to me and when roleplaying, if you find yourself uncomfortable tell me to stop what I'm doing wrong please. I usually write around advanced literate but I can go even longer if I get super into it, otherwise I really do try to match my partners length. Im okay with anything from the shorter end of semi-lit to longer end of adv-lit. I am in the GMT time zone and am not in the position where I absolutely cannot respond very often, so i respond generally consistently and atleast a few times a day. I write in third person only and do so on discord, and this is NOT a smut orientated roleplay.
Here's the OC I'd like to use for this roleplay:
Name: Lou Murphy
Age: 25
Height: 6'0, 6'5 with her heels
Physical appearance: Black hair that's thick and goes down to her lower back, green eyes, big round glasses, generally slim body and 9 times out of ten has her nails painted black. Wears a variety of clothing, but usually black calf-length skirts and tight shirts, paired with baggy jumpers and tights depending on the weather.
Personality/Background: She's the shy and nerdy type, makes an effort to keep to herself and is typically selective about who she lets into her life and heart. She's responsible, logical, neat and pretty reliable- The opposite polar of impulsive, and really keeps impulsive people in line. She has a kind nature about her regarding people she trusts and loves, but she can be stuck up and dismissive when people upset heshe generally dislikes that person or she's just upset in general.
She grew up in a wealthy household with two parents whom were doctors. They only planned to have one child in their mid 40's, and that was Lou. Lou didn't get the upmost attention and love from her parents as a child, leading her to become extremely self sufficient and develop an ability to handle herself, finances and time management extremely well at a young age. She moved out at 18, and at 20 her parents passed away in a car crash she was involved in. Lou lives with guilt and PTSD from this, regretting her estrangement from her parents and regularly getting bouts of panic attacks.
Regardless, Lou went on to college and ended up as history teacher for high schoolers. She's extremely fond of kids and teens, and loves her job as it gave her the chance to enjoy one of her biggest hobbies too, history. She lives in a small cottage just outside of town, and plays guitar and reads books in her free time. Nearly all of her walls and windows are lined neatly with books, guitars, bones, plants or historical artifacts.
I have no preferences for your OC appearance, personality and height wise as long as they're a close age to Lou because;
Plot wise, I'd like the OC's to have been childhood best friends and neighbours, the kind where every dinner was spent at each others houses, they were inseperable, constantly by each others sides and had tiny crushes on each other all throughout that time. Though, the crushes never developed anything more than just that, tiny crushes.
However, both in their mid 20's and single, they end up experimenting with each other a little just out of pure curiousity, and well, Lou accidentally ends up pregnant much to both of their shock.
I'd like to start off with Lou inviting YC over to tell him. This will probably have lots of time skips and will need a lot of us working together to make it a good roleplay. I'd also like to hear ideas and I'd like you to be specific on what youre looking for out of it and out of their relationship if you message me, though it's safe to say my preference is they develop a romantic relationship.

Okay, so it's fantasy booking time. We're on that time of the year again, where our imaginations travel and injuries hit. In the meantime, since we're almost in time for Dominion and AEW's major stories will be on hold for a while I thought of interrogating this reddit for having an idea of your Forbidden Door 2 card.
There's no rule in it: you can book MJF losing to Bolting Oleg if you want. The only thing is, try to explain it and to give it a sense, so it gets funnier than the average "oh, I want Okada vs Omega V because Meltzer is going to give it 8 stars and three quarters".

Pay attention, from here I will assume all the readers know it's spoiler territory, so PLEASE, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU ALREADY WATCHED AEW DOUBLE OR NOTHING 2023 OR YOU DO CARE ABOUT BEING SPOILER-FREE ALL ELITE WRESTLING

Let's begin!
Opening Match: AEW World Championship - Maxwell Jacob Friedman (champion) vs "The King" Minoru Suzuki (challenger)
So, an AEW World Title match as an opener? You see, the thing I love the most about MJF is not the character, nor the wrestling abilities. It's his persona and the modernity he brings that makes me love the man. In his Media Scrum interview, he stated "NJPW is an indy". His persona clearly does not want to do the PPV, and so I want to give him someone who, since Inoki's death, is in 本体 (Hontai, NJPW Main Unit). And what a better way for the Toronto crowd to get in the mood, than give them singing 風になれ (kazeninare) for starters? Suzuki can work for 15-20 minutes once in a while now, however, I want this to be a 5 minutes thing where Max cheats his way to the win.

2nd match: CHAOS (BISHAMON, Rocky Romero and Orange Cassidy) vs. BULLET CLUB (David Finlay, Clark Connors, KENTA & Chase Owens)
During the pandemic era, we had OC and Best Friends introduced in CHAOS by Rocky Romero. And with Shibata seamingly leaving LA Dojo and CC beating Young Lions and LA Dojo alumnis all around, there are two interesting matchups for this shakeup: azucar and 100 Proof, but most importantly Finlay and OC. They are both establishing themselves as fighters, but with two different attitudes. Having an exchange there would be incredible. At the end, BISHAMON win with Chase looking at the light.

3rd match: Champion vs Champion - Willow Nightingale (NJPW Strong Women's Champion) vs Toni Storm (AEW World's Women Champion)
The King of Sports introduced two female's titles among their collection. Given the fact STARDOM exists, given the fact for now I do not see a merger between the BUSHIROAD promotions, I also do not see Gedo wanting to give up on the idea that this is a NJPW only event. So, to me these titles are for US territory and for Special matches involving megastars during special events. I do not necessarily agree with this, but also the G1 Climax and the IWGP Heavweight titles were "special attractions". When it comes to this match, with Jamie in the box for a while, this is going to be another piece of the Outcasts vs. Homegrowns feud. Toni would win, setting up for another match for the STRONG title somewhere in the future.

4th match: Owen Hart Cup Finals - "Super Liger" Chris Jericho vs Hiromu Takahashi
Ok, when I thought of this match I said to myself that Y2J has to be in because he's one of the main pieces of the AEW puzzle, so I really do not see special events without him. So I booked a filler, something to get rid in case something cooler pops into my mind. Then I remembered Forbidden Door 2 is going to take place in Canada, so this became a must. Then I read Tony's idea to have Liger's involvement in the Cup. So this, from being an afterthought, has become a priority. Since AEW started, Jericho portrayed all his persona: he did the list, Lionheart, the Painmaker, the Ocho. How cool would it be to see Hiromu, who is beating all Liger's records, surpassing Super Liger?

5th match: IWGP World Heavyweight Championship - SANADA (champion) vs Darby Allin (challenger)
I will start by saying that I'm not that confident that we'll see this match happening. If Yota Tsugi is half as good as the guy I've see in RevPro, we have the reincarnation of Kenta Kobashi (I know, it's very tempting to rage at this, but their physical structure seems identical). So I want to be wrong. But picture this: SANADA's defenses are against a junior (although he's an iconic junior) and a graduating Young Lion. So somehow we have to establish him as a force, or we're having another transitional champion that is going to get racked by Okada for the next Wrestle Kingdom.
Let's take a step back and have a gemba walk on wrestling in 2023. To me, it has been the best year in wrestling in YEARS. We had NJPWxNOAH, All Together, two edition of All Star Juniors, Multiverse United, an awesome Wrestlemania Weekend for the US indies (I heard good things about WWE, but I don't watch it since more than a decade). We had Nakamura going back to Japan and Naito retiring Mutoh. You see where I'm going with this?
With Sting retiring and Muta gone I would love to see this match, with them seconding their guys. At the end, Darby takes the L with some MJF thing happening (now more than ever I'm convinced that Darby is dethroning Maxwell somewhere in the future).

6th match: NJPW STRONG Television Championship - Zack Sabre Jr. (champion) vs "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson Wheeler Yuta (challenger)
As an Italian from Naples, all I know is that when it comes to superstition, neapolitans are only second to the Chinese. So read the name you want, I'm not going to name Daniel Bryan in in this match. Let's say THE Forbidden Door dream match becomes a meme and we see Yuta trying to survive 15 minutes with Zack in the ring. Then, if the name in the strikesthrough is the correct one...

7th match: IWGP Women's Championship - Mayu Iwatani (champion) vs Dr. Britt Baker, DMD (challenger)
Dream match #7. I'm going to be hermetic with this. In my mind, this is the shocker of the night, with Britt Baker winning and holding "hostage" of the title in America and setting up Giulia vs Britt at WK next year. WOW.

8th match: NEVER Six Men Openweight Championship - Blackpool Combat Club (champions) & Shota Umino vs The Elite (El Phantasmo and The Young Bucks) (challengers)
Last year's FD saw great matches with an interesting card. We will never see it, but we expected the emancipation of Hiku Leo in his match with the BULLET CLUB. We received another match, with ELP "replacing" spiritually Kenny Omega. ELP and the Bucks have an almost unexplicable chemistry. ELP is half Marty Scurll, half Kenny Omega, and fits perfectly to the mold of a tag team who is as over the top as ELP is and can do comedy wrestling as well as fast-pacing action or storyline-driven wrestling.
While I was writing it, I changed the champions. Why? Because Kenny said he has one or two friends to call up for support. One is Ibushi, and we'll seeing him at Blood and Guts. The other is none other than ELP.
At first, this was suppose to have the current ones (Okada, Tanahashi and Ishii) in the match and something else planned for Mox. In my head booking, I would have had Tanahashi winning on NJPW STRONG Resurgence but that derailed. Anyways, BCC and Shota retains here, setting up El Phantasmo vs Shooter for G1.

At the change of the guard, Okada says to Tanahashi that it's time for a change. After the fall between Ishii and Tanahashi at Dominion, Okada says this is make it or break it for CHAOS. I am an M21 soldier from Germany and currently not on duty
I started roleplaying last year as a hobby, but unfortunately had to take a break for job reasons. Since I now have time again, I would like to start writing a story again and am looking for a partner who is older than 18
My suggestions would be:
-Cold War espionage story
All of these ideas can also contain sol and romance elements of course.
These suggestions should only represent a framework where we can orientate ourselves with our OC and ideas. For example romance elements like (enemys to lovers etc) or sol elements and others can be built into the story aswell.
I haven't finished working out a plot yet (only the men in the high castle plot is worked out) but I would be happy for creative input from my partner, in general I would like us to create the story together from start to finish.
I would then discuss everything else such as boundaries, oc's, plots and additional questions and ideas in the DM's.

I’ve started to work on an OC, and just wanted to ask a question or two. I have an idea where the character is able to split his focus, up to a max of three. Essentially if he’s going into a fight that has 3 enemies, he can focus on one, fighting hand to hand, and send out curse energy projectiles towards the other 2. Doing so would have a weakening effect on the cursed energy as he’s having to focus on three things at once. If his focus is all on one thing he as an easier time. i based it around adhd so maybe a set back could be he can’t use that technique some days because it’s harder to focus. I have adhd so i understand it’s more than just “not being able to focus” but i think that could be a set back that comes from time to time.
I also had an idea of a main curse technique, similar to Geto’s curse manipulation. The user carries a cursed sketchbook, using it to draw the curse that has just been exorcised, and obtaining the curse to the users roster. The user can also draw improvements to the curse, potentially allowing the curse to go up a level or two. However there are a few rules to being able to obtain the curse. There is a certain amount of time that the user has to complete the drawing, if it’s not done in time then the curse passes on and the user doesn’t obtain it. The higher the level the less time the user gets, which is why it’s easier to add improvements to lower level curses.
I am just wondering if there’s anything i can do to polish these up, and improve on them? Also i’d like these to be wielded by the same user but i am wondering if they’re too different from each other or if they’re both curse techniques. Sorry for the big post i just have been thinking about this for a while and can’t wait to hear some feedback! thanks

Hi all!
 
Apologies in advance for how long this post is going to be as well as how bad the formatting and linking is - first real post.
I've had this idea to catalog my history with SFFPCs for a while now.
I also have a few questions hidden further in regarding a possible future build that i'm looking at maybe attempting in the next few months.
 
  Lets begin the trip down memory lane: Build #1 - mid 2014 No Pictures for the build on this one sorry - not much worth documenting either, very simple build!

This PC was the first computer I had ever built with basically my first pay check. Realistically I was building it just to prove to myself that I could and that I wasn't going to break any parts. The long term goal for this PC was to become a youtube / facebook machine for my brother and it worked perfectly. lately i've been using it as a slave pc to run minecraft servers for the lads and it still trucks along with no issues!
 
Summary: This pc was easy to build and still works today very well with basically no maintenance over the course of its life. It was never meant to be a high power machine and works well as an exertainment machine / server for minecraft. Yes I know I should probably repaste it.  
 
Following this up was my first "gaming" PC: Build #2 - mid 2016 No photos for this build either sorry. But again, the build was pretty simple with nothing particularly worth documenting. The Corsair case was a dream to build in and had heaps of space for parts and mounting. This PC was built when I was going to a lot of LANs hence the 'portable' case choice!

This PC was and still is a beast. Disregarding the issues with gtx 970's not actually having 4GB of VRAM and instead having 3.5GB + 0.5 GB this PC proved to be an amazing 1080p gaming machine. Specifically this was mostly because of two factors:  
  • The i5 6600k was a monster! I heard lots about how only having 4 cores and no hyperthreading meant this little CPU was a weak competitor when compared to the more capable 7700k. But for what I had lined up? This CPU was perfect and never let me down. This CPU was incredibly easy to overclock, ran cool compared to many higher spec'd parts at the time and was a single core performing beast. This CPU was overclocked (easily) to basically 4.9Ghz for its entire life which allowed for it to be competitive with much newer CPU's all the way up to and past a stock i9 9900k (gotta love the 14 nm villain arc intel went on). Yes you read that right, with a hefty overclock my little of i5 6600k was out performing brand new (stock) i9 9900k cpus! (but only in single, duo and quad core workloads, anything more and it would fall over. I also had to seriously adjust memory timings to get up to the 9900k which had them running at unsafe voltages for long term use as well)
 
  • Super fast SSD for quick load & boot times! I know a 250GB SSD is tiny by todays standards especially as the only drive in the PC but back in 2016? This was manageable and provided a massive performance increase in a market full of PCs still using HHD as boot drives.
 
In addition to the above there were serval things about this PC that I absolutely loved:
  • The Corsair 380T case was AMAZING. The side panels have a metal cover over the main plastic bulk of the panel, the metal part could be removed by bending the clips holding it on and allowing a thin filter material to be added in. For anyone looking to build in the 380T I 100% recommend doing this! Basically the only maintenance was to run a vacuum over the side panels and no dust ended up inside the case at all.
  • Having the i5 6600k under the 240 AIO allowed the i5 6600k to pull full TDP (plus the rest from the overclock) and stay at about a maximum of 65 degrees C (149 F) well within a safe operational range.
 
Now days this PC is living out its retirement at a friends place who couldn't afford a PC and still running strong clocked at a solid 4.7GHz. Which is more than enough for the games they are playing. Not suitable for much more than 1080p 60fps in most modern games (medium settings if that), this PC still stands out as the best PC i've built so far. I also did push the CPU as much as physically possible - Upping the voltage, clock and bus clock (a little trick from the generation to squeeze out a few more points in benchmarking) to make the CPU hit about 5.1GHz max. While stable this also bumped up temps to about 95 degrees C (203 F) which was not sustainable long term.
 
Summary: This PC was a beast for the price and delivered amazing performance - the only regret I had at the time was not getting a 7700k or equivalent for hyperthreading but in hindsight this was not an issue and this PC was still able to deliver years of fun!
 
 
This brings us to current day: Build #3 - early 2021

This is where the fun begins. This PC was built with the goal of "No compromises" and I like to think I delivered! With a fully custom water cooling loop for both a 5950x and 3090 this PC is able to play basically any modern game at 1440p 240hz while maintaining reasonable temperatures. Originally this PC was built as an air-cooled PC with the goal to be water-cooled later. Most of my comments will focus on the water-cooling process.
 
But before we move on here are my air-cooled comments:
 
  • The Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 3090 only just fits in the case. This required the front IO panel to be removed and for the case to basically come apart to allow for the 3090 to slide in sideways before wriggling into the PCIE slot. Doable but a tight fit.
 
  • Everything was so much simpler when everything was air-cooled! This goes without saying but i'd 100% recommend that anyone attempting this seriously consider just leaving everything air-cooled. What follows this is not for the faint of heart.
 
Now we get serious, and by serious I mean everything gets janky - you have been warned. Firstly, the GPU block didn't fit the case and this caused a lot of headaches. For more clarification please check the photos. Secondly, space was tight inside the case. Again, check the photos to see how little space there was inside the case. This meant that tubes between water cooling components were just jammed wherever I could fit them.
 
I watched a lot and I mean a lot of videos and tutorials about what would fit and what parts to buy etc. The number 1 source of my information was Optimum Tech on youtube. He has many videos showing in beautiful detail how he builds powerful ITX systems. 100% reccommend. And he's another Aussie lad!
 
The entire build process is basically documented in the photos that i'm currently trying to upload to imgur. Once I get the upload sorted i'll link to it here so you can follow along my adventures.

There is a bit of extra information in the photos so please give it a read if you're interested but i'm happy to answer questions if you have them so post away!
 
Summary: While a pain the ass to build, this no compromises PC destroys every single game I throw at it. It stays at reasonable temps with a mild undervolt on the 3090 and PBO applied to the 5950x.
 
 
This brings me to the section where I actually get to ask questions about a possible new build. If you've stuck with me this long, thank you and I hope you've enjoyed my history with ITX PCs.

Please see my below reasoning on why i'm currently looking at these parts: Note: i'm looking to build in a Louqe Ghost S1 case.
Part Reasoning
AMD Ryzen 5 7600 Low power and super efficient CPU to provide amazing CPU performance in a TDP that can be easily cooled by a low profile cooler. Not a fan of how AM5 x series sits at 95 degrees C and no real low power intel option to compete (sub 70W)
Noctua NH-L12 Ghost S1 Best low profile cooler that can fit in the Louqe Ghost S1 case
Asus ROG STRIX X670E-I GAMING WIFI I was looking at cheaper motherboards but read several reviews that the ones available here in Australia had poor VRM design and cooling implementation. This motherboard also is confirmed to fit with the chosen cooler Noctua Website
G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL32 Good compromise between performance, lowish profile and price
Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB Simple, easy, powerful, reliable and not a bad price here in Aus but might swap if something else comes along
Inno3D Twin X2 GeForce RTX 4070 Based on the case compatibility list on the Louqe subreddit and the 4070 review performed by Value king the Inno3D Twin X2 seems to be one of the best options that both fits the Louqe case and has good build quality
Corsair SF750 750 W 80+ Platinum Pretty standard choice for ITX builds as far as I can tell. I've used it before and love the quality
 
Now that you've got the background we can get into the meat of my questions for this hypothetical build:
To get the most out of my 7600 should I lap the CPU or delid and direct die cool? I want the CPU to easily sit within its thermal limits while having some headroom to play around with settings and squeeze the most I can out of. A return to the era of the 6600k again, low power with lots of room to tinker and wring out all the performance I can while staying cool. Even going so far as to play with memory timings again.
 
My thoughts at this stage are as follows:
Direct Die Lapping
Allows for liquid metal to be applied directly to the CPU die for best possible thermal transfer Allows for the IHS to soak the heat from the tiny core on the 7600 into a larger surface before absorbing heat into the cooler.
Liquid metal has shown in the past to provide massive temperature reductions in similar applications Is much less likely to damage the CPU itself and still offer significant improvement to temperature.
The 7600 cores are so small and so off center that i'm concerned only 1 or 2 of the copper heat pipes in the cooler would actually make contact. This combined with the difficulty of balancing a cooler on the CCD & IO Die as they're both small not both centered could lead to insignificant gains. Lapping could be combined with liquid metal if really required to try and get even more performance gains from the 7600.
 
I've also not seen any videos or posts from people using either the lapping or direct die methods on a 7600 - as the part is so low power this makes sense but I was trying to consider all options before committing to one or the other. I did see one video of someone trying to use the direct die frame and liquid metal with a 7600x unsuccessfully which has also not helped with my trepidation: Actually Hardcore Overclocking
It is also worth noting that Thermal Grizzly and Roman "der8auer" also sell products for both lapping and direct die modifications so both are fairly easily accessible to me.
To be clear, the goal here is to fit super efficient parts into the stock Louqe Ghost S1 without needing a top hat for extra cooling or crazy internal fan placement to get extra airflow. I'd love for both the 4070 and 7600 to both have enough airflow to perform optimally without having to modify the case and add extra fans.

Also, I know that seeing I will be playing an OC may be upsetting to see but I am very lenient when regards to creating an OC. I have a doc explaining more about him but I am always open to suggestions and ideas. Now, let me move on more to the plot.

It was a normal day for most students, despising their lives, finding each day be the same as the last. However, for Eleven, this was a brand new experience. It was exciting for her, escaping the hardships of the labs, this new surrounding was nothing like them, it was safe. Sadly for her, she was stripped away from her friends, being put in a different setting but maybe, it was a blessing in disguise.
However, she would be taken away from that setting once more. Her father’s childhood friend was moving to Hawkins and after offering to help them pack and just for a little visit. She wouldn’t be alone however, she’d be in the company of this other man’s son, someone who was quite different to people she was used to.
This is a little bit of the plot! I wanted to give a slice of life vibe at first because that’s typically what happens in the beginning of the seasons but trust me, things will start to get a little crazy…
I would like to mention that I am okay with writing most of the CC’s since I will be playing an OC and ships can be developed as well that are not normally in the show. With all this said, send me a dm and I’d love to discuss more!
