I had a female narc ex, covert with probably comorbid BPD, we dated for 6 intense months from fall - spring 2022. love bombing and hot sex turned into devaluation, turned into physical, emotional, psychological abuse such as hitting me in private and public, throwing food and drinks in my face, breaking my hand with a lifelong injury now while trying to defend my face, scars, and a serious traumatic brain injury. In addition there were threats to ruin my career if I told anyone, blackmail threats to steal my property. And of course she would routinely come back.
After the head injury and she said she would clean up the mess she made throwing food all over my walls etc and she did not, threatening my career as a licensed professional, tell the police I abused her, I finally began to see the light. I was still hungry for her breadcrumbs of love but stronger than before and eventually went No Contact in summer.
From late summer through mid fall, she attempted to contact me several times through text first from different numbers saying it was her then from fake numbers pretending to be different women. I also learned she was getting evicted from her building next to mine.
I filed a restraining order though I hadn’t seen her in 4 months and made police reports about her abuse. Since she had just been evicted, it took forever to get her served with the summons. Finally we had our first court appearance in Jan 23, she requested continuances and showed up two more times in court. She contacted my lawyer to try and settle but then stopped replying. Finally our trial was in April and she didn’t show. I was granted the full Order of Protection for 2 years.
So that was a month ago. Now a few days ago I’m coming back from work and I see the Nex sitting on my building patio having wine with a dude. This dude looks like humpty dumpty, and the first time she became aware of him - she and I were working out in my building gym together and he was ogling her, and she called him a disgusting creep. Now humpty dumpty heard we’d broken up I guess and shot his shot, and as a narc she was using him for attention and supply.
But why on earth would you be so stupid to sit outside my patio in my condo building knowing that you have a restraining order? Is it to tell me that she doesn’t care about what I think and will not let me “control” her? Is it to subtly try and hoover me? (When I was in the relationship she would break up w me and I would come crawling back, when I left she started to hoover me harder and harder. Even lots of messages and phone calls from unknown numbers right around the court dates). Is it really simply because she had no empathy or decency or consideration to not come by my place after knowing how much she hurt me??
So I start recording on my phone and confront her telling her she is violating the protection order. She starts talking back nonsense about how she’s visiting humpty dumpty and I don’t own the entire building, and I tell her about my broken bones and near fatal brain injury, current fear, her threats and blackmail - and she basically smirks or doesn’t respond.
I walk back to my parking lot while humpty dumpty tries to de escalate, I tell him to screw off and call 911. They come, examine the order, and arrest her. She’s been in jail over the long weekend and will likely face a misdemeanor charge.
So my questions are why would she make this stupid blunder, and what do you think is going through her head now? What would be going through yours? TIA

MC PMC was hired to capture and bring HVT (codename Goblin Queen) from North Takistan. Easy smash and grab, unfortunately the HVT is surrounded by major Takistani forces, for that reason we have decided to import some fancy fireworks.
But someone had to tip off customs and all of our equipment got nabbed at Mantiq. So we need to get it first, before we can even attempt to capture HVT.
For that reason we've made deal with local camel merchants and got some basic stuff and little ace, called ION vics. These will allow us to get close to Mantiq without getting shot at sight.

There has been an increase in specialized programming to support women’s rights and empowerment in this region.Women struggle to uphold their rights in places like Palestine. It is international human rights laws and conventions which are helping women in advocating for and strengthening their fight. Since the ratification of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) by the State of Palestine in March 2014, civil society organizations and women human rights defenders have publicly advocated for the implementation of the Convention and the passing of a Family Protection Bill, pending since the early 2000s, which would specifically address gender-based discrimination and violence. This post is for those people who are feeling clueless about their life after giving the prelims yesterday. I would like to share my story.
I graduated in 2016 and worked in a IT company for a year before quitting it to start preparing for upsc. 2019 was my first attempt and I couldn't clear prelims in that year. I was so sure of clearing it in 2020 and then came the pandemic. My mental health got worse during those two years(2020-2021) and my morale was at an all time low. I just couldn't get myself up to study somedays. It took a toll on my confidence,self esteem and mental health. I wanted to give one last attempt in 2022 and gave my best in the preparation. I got around 94 in prelims, but I have only applied for forest service last year so couldn't qualify again. I decided I had enough and to try other options. Earlier I used to think, what will people say if I quit now? What my parents and friends would think? I didn't give any thought about how I was getting depressed about who I am being locked in this cycle. I told to myself, "enough is enough I want to get out of this and do things that make me happy again". That changed everything for me.
Initially my parents were reluctant about my decision but after seeing what I was becoming with the stress of exams,they gave in. I came to Amsterdam to pursue masters in Finance in Aug'22. I dropped out the course in 2 months because I didn't like the way my course was progressing. Life became terrible for a while, before I decided to take the bull by it's horns. I started applying for internships and mind you, I had 4 years gap in my resume and competing with a crowd who are in early 20's with sophisticated skills. I studied hard during that period and somehow for the first time the effort I put into it showed results. After 6 rounds of interview,I got an internship at Tesla HQ, Amsterdam.
I now study in Maastricht, the city where the foundation of European Union happened with the Maastricht treaty. I am doing all the things that I have missed out because of the preparation. I travel to a different place/country every other weekend, explore musuems, art , architecture and meet interesting people from across the globe. Last week,I was in Beethoven's house in Bonn and went on a hike to explore a remote castle where Indiana Jones was shot. In few days, I will be in Dunkirk,the place that marks the historical evacuation happened during WW2. I'm sharing these details to show that life doesn't stop after you come out of this exam. Your self worth doesn't depend on whether you can succeed in this exam or not. You have more potential than you can imagine. Don't be too hard on yourself and take drastic steps because you couldn't clear this exam. Life is bigger than any exam. I realise now, how much I missed out on things I loved to do because of this exam. Last year, I was anxious at this time checking the key and this year I am planning the next country I would like to visit. Life has changed for me in a year. I love what I am doing now and grateful for all the experiences.
As fate would have it, I currently work on large scale renewable energy battery system called Megapacks which are helping the transition of the world towards sustainable energy. Down the road,it is going to revolutionize the energy sector as it address the main problem with the renewable energy,i.e the storage.

I was on keppra 500mg twice a day since 2019, I had a great time with although it may have played with my mood sometimes but all was great. In May 2022 the doctor lowered my dosage to Keppra 250mg twice a day, and since August last year I started having problems with my stomach, I had a stomach flu then on December I had a stomach issue that developed to H-pylori and made me spend a week in the hospital.
I’ve never had any issues with my stomach while on the yellow tablets (500mg) and recently since February I lowered my dosage to 250mg a day and my stomach problems became more frequent, it’s like clockwork.
Has anybody ever had issues like this with Keppra? I’m trying to connect the dots here since I have no idea why I’m having frequent stomachaches.

Okaaay, so we're still shaking after the game, and already shaking before next season. Time to wrap things up.
Let's start with the Ladies team, they finished 6th and deserve some recognition. I don't follow WSL much, so i'll help myself with BBC Sport Emma Sanders quote:
"Their form dipped in the final few months and they still lack consistency but given they were fighting relegation last year, this can be viewed as a very successful campaign and they have solid foundations to build on. "
Also worth noting, our Women's team played their last game away at City, were losing 3:0 but still managed to scare them by going 3:2, knowing these 3 points don't matter to our place in the table. Their lost their last game of the season but put up a fair fight.
U18:
First full season under Leighton Baines ended at 4th place in the Under-18 Premier League North.
“For our lads, the development comes before the winning,” he said. “The winning still has to matter because they’re getting older and closer to the real game. We create that environment on a Saturday as balanced as we can. We work on certain things during the week and we’re willing to practise them on the weekend, even if it may be to a detriment of the potential outcome.
“At the same time, the kids play football, and they want to win. We’re not trying to create an overly sanitised environment where they don’t know how to win and where they don’t know how to play under pressure. We find a balance of those two things. What I’ve been blessed with this year, is that the lads have built a really strong bond and team spirit. I think that’s been reflected in some of those comeback performances and the ability to dig in." - Leighton words on his first coaching season.

Since last report - Two draws against MU, draw against Newcastle, and a home win vs Stoke.
U19:
Also our u19 team played at Nawi Mumbai PL Next gen cup last two weeks, in which their ended third in their group and lost their playoff game to go further. Some games were played in 37'C heat.
U21:
Youngsters finished eight in the PL2 _ Division 1. What is more impressive, they managed to get to quarterfinals in the PL International Cup, beaten by the final winners PSV Eindhoven U21, and to 1/16 in both PL Cup and EFL Trophy(beaten by Senior Lincoln team). That was first Paul Tait season as U21 coach. Results went downwards after the january transfer window, when Tom Cannon went on loan, and Joe Anderson and Seb Quirk joined Sunderland and Accrington Stanley on permament transfers. Some words from the coach:
“It gave the boys a lot of confidence they could go on and play men’s football,” he explained. “The likes of Tom Cannon, Joe Anderson and Seb Quirk all got good moves
“Tom played against these experienced players in the Papa John’s and then went on to have a really successful loan spell at Preston North End.”
“It was a huge transition between January and March," he added. "Players went out and we needed replacements, but I felt we found our feet again towards the end of the season.
“It’s not easy for some of the Under-18s transitioning through. They can find the jump hard, but they’ve done well. We’ve had lads like Owen Barker, Halid Djankpata and Roman Dixon coming through and impressing.
“Roman joined us in the past few weeks and knows the level that is required now. It’s important for these players to experience it. Ishe Samuels-Smith has been with us since the start and has been brilliant, as have Katia Kouyate and Francis Okoronkwo.”

João Virgínia (SC Cambuur) - Last time on the bench - 21.04 - since then probably they were sure of the relegation and preferred their own players. Joao last game played was 21.01 and it was a bad one. Then he was benched, and changing of manager didn't help him either. Even when new first choice keeper made multiple blunders, manager kept with him. Contracted till 2024
Andre Gomes (Lille OSC) - He found his place and a manager that uses him well. Lille sits 4th which grants them Europe league, with one round to play next week. They have to win with already relegated Troyes, otherwise they might fall even to 6th. Andre Played 5 matches from the 7 Lille played since last report - 3 wins and 2 draw. One loss and win without Andre. To end it on a happy note, here are some highlights, with two goals as beautiful as Andre is. Recommended ! Contracted till 2024

Thomas Cannon (Preston North End) - After a great spell, with a lot of goals scored, there comes a slump. From 5 last games, PNE lost 4, and drew 1. Tom scored one goal in this time, against Swansea, but it meant nothing in the end (4:2 loss). PNE buried the small chance it had of getting to playoffs and finished 12th. 8 goals and 1 assist since January. His contract is valid till 2025.

Lewis Dobbin (Derby County) - Derby really lost their way at the end and landed in 7th place. Dobbin always played the role of a fresh energy sub, but didn't get an goal or an assist since the end of february. This season numbers: 3 goals, 1 penalty won, 4 assists. + one goal in a EFL Trophy, and one assist in a cup. He has a contract till 2025.
Lewis Warrington (Fleetwood Town) - 2 Wins, 2 losses, one draw since last report, all with Lewis playing. In terms of game time per season - clear winner, he missed only a few games. As a midfielder playing under Scott Brown, he surely learned something. Only one assist to his name, but also no red cards and no errors, and he mostly plays as the last midfielder, screening defence. Fleetwood Town ended season in 13th place. He could find a loan in the championship next year. Contracted till 2024
Ryan Astley (Accrington Stanley) - Haven't played since february, kept out by injuries. When healthy, played all the games he could. Accrington Stanley are relegated to League Two now, but i can see them, or even some League One club wanting him to play if healthy. He's out of contract this summer. Seb Quirk joined him and penned a deal with AS this january.
Lewis Gibson (Bristol Rovers) - I'm happy to finally see this kid play some football without injury. When he showed his quality, he quickly became a starter for BR, playing as CB and occasionally as LB. They ended 17th(5 losses and 2 draws since last report), and could sign him permamently as he's out of contract this summer. Surely some League One club will go for him.
Tyler Onyango (Forest Green Rovers) - He had to fight for his place during the Burton Albion loan, and played not regularly under Dino. Then he(with Everton club) took a gamble and sent him to Forest Green Rovers, to play under Big Dunc he knew very well. No one could have predicted the injury that kept him out after playing just 3 games for the Green team. Fun fact - Burton Albion fought against relegation when he was there, and they ended 15th, but Forest Green Rovers ended being relegated from the last place. He's 20y.o. contracted till 2025.
Harry Tyrer (Chester) - The National League North Team of the Season 2022/23
"The Everton loanee has had quite the season down CH1. Recruited last summer on a season-long deal, Tyrer was quick to show his key attributes.
His dominance inside the box was clear for all to see, as was his remarkable shot stopping. His distribution isn’t bad either – that assist for Kurt Willoughby’s winner at home to Bradford (PA) springs to mind!
A fan favourite from day one, his signature dive into the Chester fans after away victories became a highlight on the road. A record of 21 clean sheets in his 55 appearances isn’t bad either.
Harry evidently has a bright future in the game and has been a credit to the Blues both on and off the pitch – he will always be fondly remembered at the Deva." - Chester FC

2023.05.29 12:21 Difficult-Speech-270 I just ticked off 4 full goals I had set for golf this year in one round, and made progress towards a 5th. Just wanted to share with people that might appreciate this sort of thing as none of my friends play golf.
I set a bunch of goals late in 2022 of things I’d like to achieve in golf this year. This was the first time I wrote down and noted goals I’d like to achieve.
The goals I achieved were:
6 pars or better in one round.
Hit 6 FIR in one round
Hit 4 GIR in one round
Play a round with 3 or less triple bogies or worse in a round
And I shot one of the 3 rounds of 95 or better that I also want to achieve.
I also nearly achieved two others. I lost one ball, so nearly played a full round with the same ball.
And that lost ball also cost me achieving not hitting into any hazards in a round. Although technically it wasn’t a hazard, I lost it in a thick over grown area, but I’m not counting that as a goal achieved.

I had the first two Pfizer shots in 2021 with no problems, but in 2022 my first booster shot was AstraZeneca which made me sick due to a strong reaction to it. Also, red spots appeared all over my body. Unfortunately, I haven't had any check-ups so far, as I had to cancel my health plan due to lack of money. At the time, I created a thread here on this sub-reddit, but the moderators deleted it, I think due to my criticism of AstraZeneca. Just for the record, I am not anti-vaxxer.
I know Pfizer's bivalent vaccine is not related to thrombosis, but still something doesn't feel right. I think I should speak to a specialist doctor first, but I really can't afford one right now.
And to be clear, I am not immunocompromised.

 | This has been impossible to try and find an answer on, as doing the typical Google search always shows results for the opposite scenario where desktop icons aren't showing for stuff that exists. submitted by delbutwilkins to osx [link] [comments] Basically, I have 7 icons showing on my desktop for files/folders that literally do not exist - anywhere. They cannot be highlighted, moved, deleted, they're not part of the background image (it's not a prank), they move screens when I change monitors or undock my laptop. I just cannot work out why they're showing and how to get rid of them. See attached image for example. They do not show in my 'desktop' folder in Finder.
