This is the first time I combine Quests from ROTWL because the next missions in line are very simple.
- The worthy ideas in The Silent Passages are the Death Mist and the tomb that returns ruined equipment. Both these ideas were kept in the revision I made (although the Death Mist got renamed to Bellthor gas).
- The worthy ideas in The Halls of Vision are the doors that open when you beat a Mummy and the keys that prevent the Mummies from attacking. Both these ideas were kept in the revision I made.
- The Gate of Bellthor is a troll Quest, since it’s unbeatable. You are meant to lose no matter what. I changed that detail to ‘defeated heroes in this Quest are automatically teleported away and become prisoners of the Witch Lord.’ Basically, you can defeat Bellthor and escape the dungeon, but there needs to be at least 1 hero who gets captured. Since the Bellthor gas hits Mind Points, the odds of the Barbarian losing in this Quest are high.

The quest is now beatable
Red numbers: The monsters in this room are magical guardians. When they are all defeated, the door with the same number unlocks.
Blue numbers: The door is magically shut. It will open only when the magical guardians with the same number as it are defeated.
X: All corridors are filled with Bellthor gas. A hero who ends his turn in them rolls a Combat die. If he rolls a Skull, he loses1 Mind Point.
A: Turning the lever fills the room with Bellthor gas. Every hero in the room loses 1 Mind Point.
B: Turning the lever opens an air duct that clears the outer north and outer west corridors of Bellthor gas.
C: Turning the lever opens an air duct that clears the inner west corridor of Bellthor gas.
D: Turning the lever opens an air duct that clears the outer south corridor of Bellthor gas.
E: There is a metallic beak-shaped full-helmet on the table. A filter clears the air as it passes through the beak. The hero who wears it on his head gains 1 Defense die and becomes immune to the effects of gas traps.
F: You find King Agrain’s magical copper key. Skeletons will ignore the hero who carries it until they are attacked.
G: These magical circles teleport anyone stepping on them between the two locations (notice that the doors are initially locked on the east room).
H: Inside the tomb the heroes will find up to 1 helmet, 1 mail, and 1 weapon that was destroyed during the previous Quest. If no equipment was lost that way, the tomb is empty.
I: You find King Agrain’s magical silver key. Zombies will ignore the hero who carries it until they are attacked.
J: You find King Agrain’s magical gold key. Mummies will ignore the hero who carries it until they are attacked.
K: The east door is fake and does not open.
L: Opening the chest fills the room with Bellthor gas. Every hero in the room loses 1 Mind Point.
M: This is Bellthor. The same rules apply as in the original Quest, with the only difference being he doesn’t knock everyone out when he dies.

I’ve been feeling anxious as of late. Perhaps it may be because I feel as thought I cannot do anything or that I am incapable of doing things. That i can’t live up to the standards I subject myself to. I am in a place where it feels as though i have no purpose yet theres also a drowning list of things to do. Thinking about attempting this list consumes me and also discourages me from actually trying. I’m lost. I’m 22 turning 23 and it feels as though I’m a failure with no actual achievements that are valid. I’m always in a constant state of feeling suffocated by family matters yet also useless at dealing with my own. I question whether family is just a crutch for my poor effort in making a life of my own. I dont know what I want or where I want to be. Thus I chase after the security of money, what I can buy with my own will. Looking at my peers it seems as though i’m on a timeline, haven’t started my Masters and dont have enough money for a home deposit. Not pretty enough or skinny enough. Sounds like first world problems but I can’t help but wonder why am I even here.
I have even found a person whom I love dearly yet always question whether they actually love me back. Or if i’m deserving of their love and care. I don’t think i’m enough and I can’t pinpoint where this stems from. Why can’t I be enough for myself to be proud of. I know I am insecure. This constant battle of feeling like a failure and self sabotaging is something i’m trying to overcome. Self sabotaging in the sense where I put less effort in intentionally or sub consciously because i’m already aware of a disappointing outcome.
I’ve broken my ankle recently and being home has furthermore given me time to settle into how I feel. I have no way of physically escaping what pulls me into feeling this way. Its been pointed out to me that I am anxiously attached. This I really despise about myself, that I can’t be content with being alone and not overthinking or overcompensating things in my relationship. Its a grappling mindset that I must do extra things to keep my partner interested in me when I know logically he loves me for what I am. Its just a deep pit in my stomach that keeps telling me I’m not good enough for them. Im an over thinker where alone time makes me think i’m unwanted and this really crushes my heart. I jump from conclusion to conclusion and memories from past experiences cloud my perspective.
I’m losing my will to always be there for my family, i’m a failure in my own story, i lack substance in the sense that I’m not happy alone. I’m always seeking validation from my partner. I also feel like i’m chasing the number 23. Theres this strong idea that I should have my life sorted or at least plan heading towards my mid 20s.
All my feelings could boil down to just an existential crisis or a negative outlook on life. But its truly hard to escape doubts and thoughts of my purpose here on earth. Whether I deserve it or actually should even be here.
I hope I can be better.

The newly added Enhanced Fujita Scale X (EF-X) tornado has several key differences from its numbered brethren that are worth knowing about. For the safety of the public, we at the National Weather Service have produced this handy pamphlet to help protect you and your family in the likely event of the EF-X tornado’s arrival. It contains many helpful mnemonics so that you will always remember what to do. Perhaps one day, with the help of citizens like you, the EF-X can be defeated.
Section A: How to tell if the EF-X tornado will come to your town
The EF-X does not come with thunderstorms like a normal tornado, but instead with its human disciples. Here are some helpful rules to follow if you suspect that one of these disciples is in your area. Remember, the three steps are: Identify, Execute, Evacuate.
Rule 1: Identify the disciple. They will appear human but will not speak a word, as their breath now belongs to the tornado, which means they will also not be breathing. Their clothes may be dirty or disheveled, and they may walk unusually. If you suspect someone of being a disciple, approach them and attempt to engage them in conversation. If they seem panicky and refuse to speak, proceed immediately to Step 2.
Rule 2: Execute the disciple summarily. Use your state-issued handgun to fire a bullet directly into the disciple’s forehead, preferably between the eyes. Make sure to double-tap to prevent the disciple from summoning the EF-X in their last moments. If you fail to properly follow through or there is a second disciple present, proceed to Step 3.
Rule 3: Evacuate immediately. Once the EF-X is summoned by a living disciple, you only have minutes to escape. Get into a fast vehicle and get away as quickly as possible. Once the EF-X has grown to full strength, you want to be as far away as possible.
Section B: How to deal with the EF-X tornado on the ground.
Once the EF-X touches down, your life is at risk. If you are outside, remember your animals: Cheetah, Serpent, Chameleon, and Dodo. If you are at home, get into your prepared shelter and begin your prayers. They will not save you, but they will comfort you.
Rule 1: The Cheetah is speedy. If you are in a car, drive at full speed in the opposite direction of the tornado. If you are on foot or bicycle, steal a motor vehicle. Remember that the EF-X is intelligent and will follow you, but you don’t have to be faster than it. You just have to be faster than the people around you.
Rule 2: The Serpent slithers in an S shape. As you flee the EF-X, it will throw debris at you in an attempt to disable your vehicle or slow you down. Swerving in a serpentine pattern will make you harder to hit. If any pedestrians impede your path, remember that your own life is the most valuable.
Rule 3: The Chameleon hides. If the EF-X is too close to run from, get out of your vehicle and get into a ditch. Cover yourself with dirt and leaves, or whatever else is nearby. If there are corpses nearby, use their blood to make yourself smell like one of them.
Rule 4: The Dodo is extinct. So will you be, if the EF-X catches you. Extinction is better by your own hand than by the tornado’s.
Section C: Surviving at home
Everyone should have some form of tornado shelter. If you are wealthy, you should have an airtight, underground panic room with several days worth of oxygen and food supplies. If you are of more modest means, you should have an interior room or closet that you can seal with duct tape. If the tornado manages to enter your shelter, it will attempt to convince you to become one of its disciples. Remember the acronym F.A.S.T. to know what to do.
Rule 1: Fear is the enemy. Eliminate it from your mind. Do not fear what the EF-X will do to you or your family, for it will use that fear to crush your willpower.
Rule 2: Acceptance is the greatest virtue. Accept that death is always inevitable, and that it is noble to die in resistance to evil.
Rule 3: Suicide has been approved by every major religion for those who are cornered by the EF-X. Use the final bullet in your state-issued handgun to end your own life. Your soul will not suffer for it. If you cannot do this, remember the T in F.A.S.T.
Rule 4: Temporary suffering in the winds of the EF-X is better than losing your soul to it forever. Close your eyes and endure until death takes you.
This pamphlet should provide you with all the knowledge you need in case the EF-X arrives in your area. One day, we will end its reign of terror.

Shunned from the world, I call the woods my home. I dare not travel out of the forest for fear of the cruelty and hostility civilization has given me everytime I show myself.
All my life they called me a monster and the word wounds me. All I want is what anyone wants: to live, to love and to be loved. But these hopes have been stripped from me so I instead seek isolation, free from the persecutions of humans.
My tattered and ill fitting garbs are crudely made leather that I created myself. But they suit me fine because out here, alone, I don’t have anyone to impress.
It has been years since I last tended to my mighty mane, the tragedy of life has eroded any semblance of vanity I may have once had. Whenever I catch a glimpse of my reflection in the water, I slap it, ruining the image that caused so many nightmares. There is nothing I can do to change it, otherwise I would gladly do so.
At night I sit in my makeshift home of mud and rotten logs that I gathered. In this poor excuse for shelter I huddle around a fire and wish I had someone to share it with. This wish is not different from self-inflicted abuse because there is no one who would love a creature like me.
During the day, I forage for food. Leafy greens and berries mostly because I don't eat meat. The animals I share these woods with are like my friends. They do not judge and have grown accustomed to me being here. How long has that been, I cannot say, only that it has been too many winters to count.
From time to time people come to my woods and I avoid them the best I can. Despite my size I am very good at not being seen if I don't want to be. Occasionally people catch a glimpse of me, word of mouth has spread and I've become an urban legend. An oddity. Another wounding word, but better than most I have been called.
When people do enter my territory, I like to watch them and pretend I am like them. One of the pretty ones. The ugly ones. Anything other than the monster that I resemble.
This childlike dream of mine died one fateful day as I was eavesdropping on a young couple as they were struggling to set up camp. There was no malicious intent as I spied on them, I was just lonely and wanted to live vicariously and pretend I was like them.
It was the woman who saw me first and she screamed “monster” as she pointed at me before running away. Her mate followed closely behind.
As they ran I felt embarrassed that I was seen and ashamed for the body I am condemned to live in. I felt this way all my life, but unlike every other moment in my painful existence, this time was different because there was something else behind those emotions.
Perhaps for the first time, I felt anger. Anger towards the humans for making me feel that way all my life and I knew that I had to destroy the source of these feelings.
I needed to kill the two who fled at the sight of me.
I caught up to the man first. Killing him was easy. I bent low and snatched him by the leg, swinging him at nearby trees before tearing off his head with my clawed hands. Feeling his body break numbed my anger, shame and embarrassment with something that I had never felt before: satisfaction.
Dark urges took hold of me, making me lick his blood off of my claws and the coppery taste woke up a long dormant part in me, something primal, feral and cruel. The blood of my victims also killed the last morsel of remorse I harbored for the humans and the way they made me feel all my life.
That feeling of satisfaction disappeared as soon as I identified it. The man died too quickly for there to be any real lasting joy from the act of killing him.
Thankfully, the woman offered me another chance to savor that feeling.
She didn't stand a chance at escape as she ran, but I let her believe that she had one. Denying her escape at the last possible second would be preferable than outright killing her.
As she ran, zig zagging through the trees, I nearly laughed at those efforts. As I swiped at her with my clawed hands, I did so almost playfully. Droplets of her mates blood splattering her back.
She panted and begged to her God to be spared as she ran, but if she wanted forgiveness she wouldn't have screamed. She wouldn't have ran. She wouldn't have been a part of the world that called me a monster.
Her terrified screams made me smile as they reached a crescendo as my claws slashed her back, reducing the shirt she wore to ribbons.
It was the first time I remember ever having a reason to smile.
My mighty hands engulfed the woman and I lifted her off the ground. I turned her around to look at me and a primal scream ripped its way out of my throat.
“You no hurt me again!”
Her expression was pure terror and I soaked it all in, but as soon I saw a shimmer of confusion creep its way on her face, I lifted her high above me and ripped her in half.
Her blood acted as a shower and as a baptism. I was reborn by it. Cleaned by it. Cleaned of being an unwilling outsider. Cleansed of being a proverbial punching bag.
I became what they always called me.
I have become a monster.

Miraheze user "Perneric" has the dubious distinction of being the first-ever account blocked on the AustraliaSim Wiki.
Perneric joined the wiki and immediately started making an article on a certain Pakistani YouTuber. That content is unrelated to the wiki's subject matter, and is considered spam.
The user also has fiddled with technical aspects of the wiki, such as by moving the Main Page from the article namespace to the Module namespace, as well as turning the article on an AustraliaSim player into a user profile page.

Hi everyone, I am a teenage catholic ( 16 male ) from India . I recently visited my hometown (to my grandmother's aunts house ) and there is a church literally 100 m down the road but my grandma told me when she was a child they couldn't attend mass there because it's was only for catholic Brahmins . My grandma had to go to another church further down the road as she was " lower caste " . I was shocked when I heard this because I thought most Indian converted to Catholicism to escape caste ! Why did the church allow this practice for such a long time , why didn't any priest, cardinal or pope condemn it before it's was abolished? Why did Portuguese people allow it ?I thought we were equal in front of God. Is this just because of our culture or something else

I am sorry this is going to be a vent/rant, I (27M) have so much going for me on the surface level (in good health, getting married next year, good paying job), but lately I've been feeling this level of sadness and high stress from work due to making continuous mistakes that should have been obvious to not make given i'm 1 year in. Combine this with my mum being sick for the last 3 months and having to support her financially, as well as paying my current expenses + work demands, I am not saving anything and the prospect of failing at my job is taking a big toll on me. My dad left us at a young age and I feel responsible for providing, but the pressure is building up. I feel like I am constantly fighting with myself to live my own life vs supporting others and sometimes I just want to escape and fly somewhere and not ever be found. I know my mum has been supporting me since my dad left up to when I got my first job, so why do I feel so selfish to not want to support her despite knowing it is my duty? I sound dramatic all the time and that's because I have anxiety (will be retaking meds soon). I am trying to find a way out and improve my mental health. I used to be so growth minded but now I often find myself self-pitying and fixated on problems. I don't know how to get out, and I am so sick of being worried that I sound dramatic. I know there might be tough people out there and the advice is suck it up, but honestly, I have been doing this for a long time and I am getting real tired. I've held my tongue, cried in silence, had my suicidal thoughts laying in bed at night, being apologetic, when in reality I want to say what is truly on my mind which is I am not doing well, I disagree, I need me time, no etc.

Ur friends challenge u to go to the large abandoned factory u heard that there were many stories about it. But u still proceeded with it your friends then drive u to the factory and u finally arrived youre friends quickly gave u equipment and drove off.
Chapter 1: Main floor U then unlock the chains to the factory u see the factorys main floor it was large but the lights were out and it was night time u get task 1: Activate the power. U get your flashlight and used a vent to go to the main control room. U get there but u see the screens are on ur not alone. U quickly activate the switch the whole factory lights up u then u heard footsteps u quickly hid in the vent. U see that its actually a robot u can see its skeleton its motherboard and even its powerbox and its glowing eyes.... The robot then walks out of the room u have just escaped death. U then quickly go to the main floor again and try getting out it was LOCKED u heard the lound footsteps again almost like it knows your trying to escape and its angry u quickly hid in a trashcan Ur safe for now. U found a crowbar u see a note "use this at the back of the robot to stun him" it was unknown who wrote that thing but u know its a survivor trying to help others that got stuck in the factory. U quickly sneak to the robots back and hit the mechanical spine at the back it got stunned and u quickly go to an elevator to go to the 2nd floor. It malfunctions the robot then goes to normal and sees you IT RAN TO YOU but just before it got to you u hit the elevators circuit and it then goes up. the robots hand is caught between the doors. just when u thought its over the hand got the elevator jammed u expected it to get seperated from the animatornic but u never knew it was this durable. U then hit it with crowbar and it then gets its hand out u get a sigh of relief but who knows whats waiting for you in the second floor

Hello, fellow depression, OCD and anxiety sufferer here, also kind of ex-drug abuser, 22 yo male.
Won't go into too much detail because thinking about the past suffering really depresses me, but my mental health issues become apparent since the age of 16 with OCD, it later transitioned into substance use disorder (primarily weed, cocaine, MDMA) as a method of escaping reality and later into depression. MDMA and coke were the ones (I guess) that unlocked my depression. It's worth noting that for pretty much my whole childhood I've been feeling kind of down from what I remember, maybe due to the constant bullying in school and family problems.
Got the depression a bit under control with sertraline. It has modest efficacy for me and I thought it'd be a little better. Like I don't have suicidal thoughts anymore but still have a bit of low energy, anhedonia, lack of motivation.
During the peak of my drug use, all I thought about was drugs. Scrolling the internet constantly about drugs, talking about drugs, dreaming about drugs. Drugs were the whole purpose of my whole existence. Now that I've identified my triggers and thinking more rationally, I've been able to drastically cut their use and so far I'm in a remission, yay!
For the past few months or so, I've been engaging in more self-improvement behaviours. That's probably the best decision I've made in my life.
Now regarding the topic of the post - thinking about my mood CONSTANTLY is something I identified not long ago and I believe it's a core root of my suffering. Basically, I spend all day thinking about how I feel, what I can do to feel better, choosing short-term reward over delayed gratification. I'm tired of mood being the main dictator of all my choices and habits. I miss being engaged so much in a certain activity that I forget who I am and lose sense of time. Mood thinking is making me unable to concentrate on something for a long period of time.
Is this a symptom of depression and/or a result of long-term drug use?
What can I do to become less dependent on my mood and still be productive when I don't feel good?
